After hearing evidence from all parties including evidence from rider K Ballard (CHARLIE BLUE) and T Brummell (MR MASSAGE), viewing the patrol film and Stewards observation the protest was dismissed and placings stood. At a subsequent inquiry it was found the EASE THE FREEZE may have rolled in near the 400m causing MY FYVEIGHT to steady, however the Stewards were of the opinion the there was always room to the inside of EASE THE FREEZE and took no further action.

THE BREWSTER jumped on terms but was slow into stride and raced wide throughout.
