Race 1: MARK LYMER CLASS B HANDICAP 1000m:
1st – GELATO 2nd – THEITALIANSTALLION 3rd – RORY’S PEAK 4th -- PUFFED

Jockey J. Rudd was declared as the rider of PUSHYCAT.

JORDANE (App S. Mossman) became fractious in the barriers before jumping.

RORY’S PEAK (K. Rockett) began awkwardly and shifted in onto PUSHYCAT (J. Rudd) which in turn was taken in onto LOKABRENNA (K. Ballard), causing both PUSHYCAT and LOKABRENNA to become unbalanced and lose considerable ground. Jockey Rockett was severely reprimanded for failing to take sufficient measures to prevent his mount from shifting ground and reminded of his obligations to stop riding and straighten when shifting ground.

Race 2: JIM NUTTALL CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1000m:

PRINCE JET (App S. Mossman) raced wide throughout.

Near the 200m THE BEAST (K. Ballard) and HARDHEADED (W. D’Avila) came together and brushed as a result of THE BEAST shifting out under pressure and HARDEADED shifting in under pressure.

Jockey T. Hill was declared as the rider of HAPPY RHYTHM.

NATIVE HUNTER (App. S. Mossman) and HEINOUS (D. Jones) raced wide throughout.

PREMIUM VICTORY (A. Spradau) returned to the mounting yard with a small amount of blood in the left nostril. A post race veterinary examination revealed the small amount of blood to be the result of an irritation from the sand track.

A. Spradau was permitted to ride 1/2kg overweight on PREMIUM VICTORY. However Trainer G. Tipping was fined $50 under the previsions of AR.7 (d)(ii) for negligently declaring A. Spradau as the rider of PREMIUM VICTORY.
