WOODMANS WAY (D Jones) proved difficult to load.
YOU'RE GUILTY (T Brummell) was tightened and lost its position on jumping away between SHOVNCO (D Ballard) and WOODMANS WAY when both horses shifted ground.
WOODMANS WAY blundered near the 800m.
A post race veterinary examination of WOODMANS WAY revealed minor soreness of the near fore fetlock.
RACE 2. LOAD AND HAUL QTIS CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1000M (2)

TYCOON TYSON (J Rudd) was slow to jump.
Near the 800m TYCOON TYSON became unbalanced when racing in restricted room inside THEITALIANSTALLION (J Stopps) and CHICAGOS FINEST (K Ballard). After being unbalanced TYCOON TYSON was reluctant to hold its position and shifted out across the heels of THEITALIANSTALLION and raced ungenerously around the turn.
GELATO (W D'Avila) shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages.

Correct weight was delayed to allow Trainer G Wiles the opportunity to view the photo finish.
NATIVE HUNTER (S Mossman) made the turn near the 800m awkwardly.
M Cummings(HE'S A HOOT) was given the benefit of a doubt as to his use of the whip prior to the 100m being in breach of the guidelines.
RACE 5. HUDDY'S MINING SERVICES SPRING CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1450M
(1) LONGSTREET (2) FAT POSSUM (NZ) (3) CARNEGIE PRINCE (4) ABSOLUTE TRUTH
CARNEGIE PRINCE (S Mossman) appeared short in its action following the race. A veterninary examination revealed the horse to have swelling in the near fore fetlock. Trainer G Tipping was advised to provide a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
Jockey M Cummings (ST LOUIS BLUE) was severly reprimanded for using his whip consecutively and in excess of 5 occasions before the 100 metres. Whilst M Cummings had also been spoken to earlier in the day, his record which had no previous breaches of this rule was taken into account, however he was nonetheless advised that a repetition may lead to a fine or suspension being imposed.
RACE 6. DIGGERS & DOZERS CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1450M
(1) SUPER STROP (2) PARTY CHARTER (3) RAW NERVE (4) ZERO SUSPICION
J Stopps (SUPER STROP) was severely reprimanded for using his whip in excess of 5 times before reaching the 100 metres. In deciding to issue a reprimand, J Stopps' record which indicated no previous offences was taken into account.
