Race 1: The Best Is Yet To Come IN 2011 Class 3 Plate - 900 metres
1st - Goodtobetheking 2nd - Boris 3rd - Gelato 4th - Woodmans Way

J. Stopps was declared as the rider of FIRST TIME.

D. Ballard was permitted to ride GOODTOBETHEKING 1 kilogram overweight when no other rider was available.

THEITALIANSTALLION was declared a late scratching at 1:29pm when there was no suitable jockey available.

GALAXY GOLD (J. Rudd) and LASTING PEACE (M. Cummings) were both slow to begin.

HOOTSON (T. Hill) began awkwardly and then raced wide for the majority of the event.

SOLARMAN (K. Ballard) raced wide for the majority of the race.

FIRST TIME (J. Stopps) raced wide rounding the home turn.


Race 2: Finishing 2010 On a High Class A Handicap - 1000 metres
1st - Mangala 2nd - Pampling Road 3rd - Raging Forties 4th - Unswept

J. Stopps was declared as the rider of IMADADTOO.

DALSQUALO (D. Jones) was slow to begin.

MANGALA (S.Egan) was buffeted on jumping between RAGING FORTIES (T. Hill) which was taken in by PAMPLING ROAD (D. Ballard) which began awkwardly and shifted in and ROCKWIN (J. Rudd) which also began awkwardly and shifted out.

RAGING FORTIES (T. Hill) raced wide rounding the home turn.

UNSWEPT (K. Ballard) was momentarily tightened for room at the 800m.



Race 3: Merry Xmas From Mt Isa Race Club Class 2 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st - Megoyoustay 2nd - Zooqalo 3rd - Juninho 4th - Megaroyale

T. Hill was declared as the rider of HAPPY RHYTHM, J. Stopps as the rider of MEGAROYALE and M. Cummings as the rider of REASSURING.

D. Ballard was permitted to rider JUNINHO half a kilogram overweight as there were no other suitable riders available.

SILENT LIGHTNING (D. Jones) showed no early pace and raced wide for the majority of the race.

MEGAROYALE (J. Stopps) was slow to begin.

HAPPY RHYTHM (T. Hill) showed no early pace and raced ungenerously throughout.

ZOOQALO (A. Spradau) hung out in the home straight requiring its rider to stop riding and straighten his mount near the 200m.


Race 4: Santa is Checking His List Class 2 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st - Donqualo 2nd - Renegades 3rd - Puffed 4th - Atrocious

J. Stopps was declared as the rider of DONQUALO, J. Esser as the rider of INVERSION, D. Ballard as the rider of RENEGADES and J. Rudd as the rider of GREEN GEM.

SOPHIA LAGO (S. Mossman) was slow to begin and then slow to gather speed in the early stages.

SOPHIA LAGO raced ungenerously throughout.

EXOLART (M. Cummings) was slow to begin.

Shortly after the start ATROCIOUS (S. Egan) shifted inwards abruptly when the reins became tangled in the gelding's mane.

MISS TOBOUGG (D. Jones) raced wide throughout.





Race 5: Plan Your Days At The Races In 2011 Class 5 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st - Kissandra 2nd - Super Strop 3rd - Big Ethan 4th - More Than Primed

J. Esser was declared as the rider of EUROS and S. Mossman as the rider of GREAT DAY OUT.

EUROS (J. Esser) began awkwardly and lost ground as the start was affected.

KISSANDRA (D. Ballard) began awkwardly shifted in and bumped LUCKY OMENS (S. Egan).

KISSANDRA (D. Ballard) had a tendency to lay in under pressure in the home straight.



Race 6: See you All Here On March 5 2011 Weight For Age - 1200 metres
1ST-- King Wells 2ND-- Headlight 3RD-- Stellar Show 4th - King Leonidas

S. Egan was declared as the rider of KING LEONIDAS.

J. Stopps suffered a seemingly harmless fall when SOOTH SAYER (J. Stopps) reared in the mounting yard. The gelding was then taken straight on to the track where Jockey Stopps remounted and proceeded to the barriers without further incident.

Jockey Spradau lost the use of his irons when LONGSTREET (A. Spradau) slipped and knuckled as the start was affected resulting in the gelding loosing considerable ground.

Jockey D. Ballard was reprimanded for his misconduct in using offensive language after passing the winning post.

ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
