Race 1: Metres. ERNEST HENRY MINING QTIS MAIDEN PLATE. 1000 Metres.
(9 Starters).
1st - LOST EVERYTHING. 2nd - AIRGEAD 3rd - NOT A GREAT LOOK 4th - CLASSIC CADILLAC
Jockey S. Galvin replaced A. Spradau as the rider of STAND FIRM, when Jockey Spradau could not make the weight, (1.4kgs overweight). Jockey Spradau subsequently pleaded Guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR 120(b) and was fined Two Hundred Dollars. Further Jockey Spradau pleaded Guilty to a charge of failing to be present in the Jockey’s Room forty five minutes prior to his first ride. ( AR 91). He was fined One Hundred Dollars. STAND FIRM was slowly away at the start. CLASSIC CADILLAC (R. Sue-San) jumped inwards at the start. TWISTED ECHO (Ms L. Morrison) hung out making the 600 metre turn. COLOUR BLUE (M. Cullen) hung out from the 600 metres to the home turn. STAND FIRM, DEXTERITY (M. Morris), CLASSIC CADILLAC and COLOUR BLUE all raced wide rounding the home turn.
Race 2: SPARROW HARRISON MEMORIAL CLASS 2 HANDICAP. 1000 Metres.

1st - HOUFU 2nd - KBENGAL 3rd - RED HUSSERATI 4th - GOLD BRILLANTE
ENCOSTA SEQUALO and BUDDYBONEY were both scratched at 12.10pm 2/6/2012, as no suitable rider was available. SILVER TALE (M. Cullen) was slowly away. GOLD BRILLIANTE (S. Mossman) began awkwardly and raced wide all the way. RED HUSSERATI ( K. Ballard) and LITTLE ZACHARY (J. King), both raced wide rounding the 600 metre turn. GUSTO (Ms L. Morrison) was eased out of the race in the straight. Jockey Morrison advised that in the straight she believed that the gelding had gone amiss however on pulling up, the horse’s gait had apparently returned to normal. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr. R. Herman advised to report any follow up information on the incident to Stewards.
Race 3: 1200 Metres. (11 Starters)
1st - NAUTICAT 2nd - BELFORD BOY 3rd - TAIMEX 4th - HUFF AND PUFF
Jockey A. Spradau, the rider of NAUTICAT could not make the weight, (1.4kgs overweight) when weighing out. Stewards permitted SPRADAU to ride the gelding one kilogram overweight. . Jockey Spradau subsequently pleaded Guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR 120(b) and was fined Two Hundred Dollars. Further on weighing in, Jockey Spradau was found to be one kilogram in excess of the weight he had weighed out. AR 145. He pleaded not guilty to that charge however he was found Guilty and fined One Hundred Dollars. GALAXY GOLD (M. Cullen) was slow to begin. MAYALBE (Apprentice J. King) jumped with the field but from that point commenced to steadily lose ground and finished a distant last. Apprentice King could not explain the poor performance of the gelding. A post race veterinary examination after cooling down revealed no obvious injury. It is believed that different shoeing of the horse may well remedy the situation. Trainer advised accordingly. In the area of the 700 metres SARABAH ROSE (R. Sue-San), NAUTICAT and HUFF AND PUFF (K. Ballard) raced in restricted room.
Race 4: CLONCURRY & DISTRICT RACE CLUB INC CLASS “B” HANDICAP. 1450 Metres. (8 Starters)
1st - NO IDENTITY 2nd - GOD SHE’S RAUNCHY 3rd - SHADOW ALLIANCE 4th – CANHERUN
(8 Starters).
At the start CANHERUN (T. Brummell) jumped in onto JET RAFT (T. Hill). GOD SHE’S RAUNCHY I(R. Sue-San), NO IDENTITY (D. Ballard) and LIKE CLOCKWORK (K. Ballard) all raced wide rounding the 1200 metre turn. LIKE CLOCKWORK and CANHERUN raced wide rounding the home turn. On weighing in, Jockey Ms L. Morrison who rode SHADOW ALLIANCE which was placed third was found to be one kilogram in excess of the weight she had weighed out. AR 145. She pleaded Guilty to the charge and was fined One Hundred Dollars.
Race 5: CLASS 4 HANDICAP. 1200 Metres. ( 5 Starters).
1st - BELLA SEA 2nd - NORWEGIAN 3rd - HELLUVA HURRY 4th - NIFTY NELLIE
BELLA SEA began awkwardly losing ground and then raced wide rounding the 1200 metre turn, as did NIFTY NELLIE (R. Sue-San).
