1st - DANIVA 2nd - SPACE SAVER 3rd - AIRGEAD 4th - ZELDA’S LAD

TERRAPLEX (Ms L. Morrison) was a late scratching at 3.10pm by order of Stewards after a buckle on a stirrup leather broke on the way to the start and the rider was subsequently dislodged, but uninjured. The gelding then galloped a circuit of the track and jumped the outside running rail and further issues ensued. IT’S PRETTY (M. Morris), was reluctant to load into the barriers.

DANIVA (T. Brummell), jumped outwards at the start. ZELDA’S LAD (T. Hill), travelled wide rounding the 600 metre and home turns. Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered all bets made on TERRAPLEX be refunded and betting deductions of 19 cents in the Dollar for the win and 27 cents in the Dollar for the place on the face value all winning tickets on the winner DANIVA and 28 cents in the Dollar for the place on the face value on all winning tickets on the second place getter SPACE SAVER apply.

King regarding his riding of WILLYWYNYA, (which finished ninth), in the home straight and the lack of vigour the apprentice displayed over the concluding stages of the race.
