Race 1: Benchmark 60 Handicap 1450 metres:
1st – MORE DUST 2nd – SIMPLE TASK 3rd – RUSSIAN BLACK 4th – CECOTTO

When no other rider was available stewards permitted M Hart to ride CECOTTO 1/2kg over its declared weight.

ONE STOP - Raced wide throughout.

POMATINI - Raced wide rounding the 1200 metre turn.

TERRAPLEX - Raced wide rounding the 600 metre and home turns.

Race 2: Maiden Plate 1000 metres:
1st – TEN TORIONO 2nd – OVERTONE ARIA 3rd – RUSSIAN BLACK 4th – ASHLEN

TEN TORINOS – Stood flatfooted and missed the start then raced wide rounding the 600 metre turn.

OVERTONE ARIA – Shifted out at the start and made contact with another runner then raced wide rounding the home turn.

ASHLEN - Was reluctant to load into the barriers and was bumped by another runner on jumping away.

MARINGA - Was reluctant to load into the barriers and raced wide rounding the home turn.

Race 3: Benchmark 65 Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – COMMANDING SPUR 2nd – CHATEAU D’OR 3rd – PEG LEG 4th – FLYING INDY

LITTLE VICTORIES and ONCE AGAIN MELADY were both late withdrawals when no riders were available.

FLYING INDY – Was checked at the start when crowded for room and lost significant ground.

KELCHEZ - Was checked at the start when crowded for room and lost significant ground.

PEG LEG – Began very awkwardly, shifted out abruptly and made heavy contact with another runner. Trainer Mr K Krogh was told that a warning would be placed on PEG LEG for beginning awkwardly.

Race 4: Class B Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – RETURN TICKET 2nd – WHAT’S UP SUN 3rd – WILLIE CLANG 4th – NORTH SPUR

When no other rider was available stewards permitted M Hart to ride DUSTAL 1.5kg over its declared weight.

RUN FOR EVER and READY TO DAZZLE were both late withdrawals when no riders were available.

RETURN TICKET – Raced wide throughout.

GOLD VISION – Raced wide throughout.

Stewards questioned jockey A Morrison regarding the poor performance of BUENA VIDA which was beaten in excess of twenty lengths. Jockey Morrison stated after being slow to begin BUENA VIDA settled further back than anticipated and resented the kick back. He added that in his opinion BUENA VIDA made an abnormal respiratory noise. A post race veterinary examination of BUENA VIDA did not reveal any abnormalities.

Race 5: Benchmark 75 Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – FORTZA 2nd – SURPASSER 3rd – ROCKET ON BY 4th – STRUMMING

When no other rider was available stewards permitted M Hart to ride I’M HOT 1.5kg over its declared weight.

MONTANUS – Knuckled on jumping.

ROCKET ON BY – Raced wide throughout.

SURPASER – Raced wide rounding the 600m turn.

STRUMMING – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
