Race 1: Banana Production Management/Harbourside Cold Stores QTIS Maiden Plate – 1000M
1st – Delta Dragon 2nd – Tzefira 3rd – Royal Impact 4th – Get Back Jojo

CLASSIC CADILLAC (K. Rockett) reared as the gate opened resulting in that horse losing approximately 3 lengths as the start was effected.
MAI MAIBE (J. King) jumped awkwardly as the start was effected bumping TZEFIRA (M. Elliott).

Race 2: Murphy Memorial “Vice Presidents’ Plate” Class B Handicap – 1000M
1st – Carbinconi 2nd – Vaulting Queen 3rd – Saquarra 4th – Bongiorno

SAQUARRA (B. Swaffer) and CALL A CAB (K. Rockett) bumped as the start was effected.

BONGIORNO (W. D’Avila) was slow to jump as the gate opened and then jumped in bumping the hind quarters of CALL A CAB (K. Rockett). Jockey W. D’Avila reported that his horse was hard against the back gate as the start was effected which put him at a disadvantage.

Race 3: Collins Family & Undara and TOPX Longreach “Fulford Plate” Class 6 Plate – 1000M
1st – Surpasser 2nd – Hardheaded 3rd – Heliopolis 4th – Physics

B. Swaffer (PHYSICS) reported that his horse was fractious in the barrier and was slow to jump.

Stewards questioned jockeys J. King (MONCHING) and L. Morrison (HARDHEADED) in relation to an incident at the 400 metre point where HARDHEADED had to be restrained and lost ground when racing between MONCHING and JUDICIAL (W. D’Avila). From steward’s observations and from viewing the film Jockey J. King was issued with a reprimand for shifting out when not sufficiently clear of MONCHING.

JUDICIAL (W. D’Avila) was inspected by the veterinarian after the race as Jockey D’Avila reported the horse contacted the gate with its mouth.

Race 4: Tuff n Up Camp “Ladies Bracelet” Open Handicap – 1200M
1st – Bella Sea 2nd – Whitsunday Express 3rd – Fred the Legion 4th – Beurre

GOLDEN PAPILLON (L. Morrison) jumped in as the start was affected bumping BELLA SEA (J. King) who lost ground.
Race 5: Coopers Animal Health and Rabobank “Nimmo Plate” Class 3 Plate – 1200M
1st – Doomed Affair 2nd – Consulate 3rd – Cavalryman 4th – Willywynya

CAVALRYMAN (S. Pawsey) reared as the gates opened and was slow to jump;

WILLYWYNYA (J. King) had a tendency to hang out for the entire journey.

CONSULATE (B. Swaffer) hung out and raced wide into the front straight causing THIRTY THREE LARGE (N. Bin Yadi) to race wide.
