GENERAL: This meeting was conducted under the conditions of the Queensland Community Racing Scheme (QCRS). No Bookmakers or Photo Finish operated at this meeting. All starts were by means of a flag fall All riders who competed were licensed Approved Riders with the exception of K. STONE who holds a Jockey’s License. All prizes were in the form of trophies only.

Race 1: HALLS FIREARMS MAIDEN PLATE. (Set Weights). 1000 Metres. . (5 Starters)
1st - SMITHIES MILLIONS 2nd - JAZMINE 3rd - MAJESTIC TIME 4th ANARCHIUST (NZ()

MAJESTIC TIME (M. Delahunty) raced wide rounding the home turn.

Jockey K. Stone who rode SMITHIES MILLIONS, the winner of the race, the margin being a nose, was interviewed by Stewards and advised that he must ride his mounts right out to the winning post. Jockey Stone advised that he was aware of the provisions of AR 137(b) and had miscalculated on this occasion. He was advised of the severe penalties which can be imposed .

Race 2: TOPX RICHMOND RESTRICTED TROPHY 2, (Set Weights). 1200 Metres . ( 7 Starters)

1st - OCTA DUCK 2nd - STROMGLAD 3rd - DRIVESHAFT (NZ). 4th - JUST ROCKY

Near the 1000 metres, LITTLE FEATHER (D. Owens) shifted inwards and tightened STROMGLAD (J. Dagen) for room, resulting in STROMGLAD having to be eased. Jockey Owens was strongly advised that he must be clear before allowing his mounts to shift ground.

LITTLE FEATHER raced wide rounding the home turn.

Race 3: SUNCORP RICHMOND OPEN TROPHY (Set Weights). 1200 Metres. ( 6 Starters)

1st - TAUPIN 2nd - CYCLONE GEORGE 3rd - FRAARCAS 4th - YAMADO

A Veterinary Certificate under the terms of AR 45B, (Horses aged 12 years and over), was provided in respect of YAMADO allowing that geldings to start in the race.

Rounding the home turn BURRA ACTION (K. Stone) shifted out abruptly and made contact with IDEALLY READY (B. Sheard). On being interviewed Jockey Stone stated his mount had shifted out abruptly when he struck it with the whip. Stewards noted the explanation.

Race 4: WESTON HELICOPTERS RESTRICTED TROPHY 6 . (Set Weights). 1000 Metres.

4th MIUSS CHANCESXAAR.


GALAXY GOLD raced wide all the way.


Race 5: RISING SUN HONDA OPEN TROPHY. (Set Weights). 1000 Metres. ( 6 Starters)

1st - ABAGNALE 2nd - PALOLO DEEP 3rd - OUR BALLET DANCER . 4th - BURRA BLU

A Veterinary Certificate under the terms of AR 45B, (Horses aged 12 years and over), was provided in respect of ABAGNALE allowing that geldings to start in the race.

BURRA BLU (K. Stone) was slow into stride.

CANNY SHUFFLE (B. Sheard) raced wide rounding the home turn.



Race 6: . LEAKE FAMILY – ROSS LEAKE MEMORIAL CUP. OPEN TROPHY. (Set Weights). 1600 Metres.

1st - VONMARKNDUNC 2nd - WESTERN RUN 3rd - MORE THAN REGAL 4th - REQUEST THIS.

Approaching the 500 metres, VONMARKNDUNC when travelling behind TAXAS FLOOD attempted to gain a run along the rail to the inside of the tiring TEXAS FLOOD, but contact was made between the two runners. Jockey STONE was advised that he must exercise more care.

SOLYMAR (M. Delahunty) dropped out in the middle stages of the race but finished the race off. Rider M. DELAHUNTY advised the horse appeared to lose its gait for a distance near the 1300 metres. SOLYMAR then travelled wide rounding the home turn.

AUTUMN BEATS (D. Owens) raced wide rounding the home turn.

Race 7: GLENGOWRIE FEEDLOT RESTRICTED TROPHY 4. (Set Weights). 1200 Metres. ( 6 Starters)
1st - FRAARDALA 2nd - CHICKEN DINNER 3rd - ZATHURA 4th - LATOMATINA.

CHICKEN DINNER (J. Dagan) was fractious in the mounting yard and on going out onto the track.
