Race 1: All Souls & St Gabriels School/Maclean Partners QTIS Maiden Plate – 1000 metres:
1st – RAPID QUALO 2nd – WHO’S YOUR CADDY 3rd – TOP DECISION 4th – BARELY THERE


MY WINDOW SILL – Began awkwardly.

TOP DECISION – Was bumped on jumping away.

RAPID QUALO – Was bumped on jumping away.

MARINGA – Was bumped by another runner on jumping away.

RUSSIAN BLACK – Began awkwardly and made contact with another runner. A post –race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer G. Wiles was advised that a veterinary certificate of clearance would be required before the gelding is permitted to start again.

BARELY THERE – Was forced to race wide throughout.

Race 2: Halls Firearms/5 Star Super Market Benchmark 65 Handicap – 1000 metres:
1st – EXCEEDED 2nd – CARRY ME 3rd – MOONLIGHT CAFE 4th – WE WILL ROCK

KISS ME QUICK – Was slow to begin.

FLYING INDY – Began very awkwardly.

MOONLIGHT CAFÉ – Raced wide throughout.

Race 3: Ringrose & Button/MIFNQ Class B Handicap – 1200 metres:
1st – MARK ME OLEE 2nd – SPIN AGAIN 3rd – EXOTIC BOY 4th – WITCHES WHICH

Stewards accepted the explanation from trainer T. Kenny for the late declaration of R. Hancock on CHICAMONI.

TEN TORINOS – Was slow into stride.

TALK TOUGH – Apprentice rider reported that her saddle slipped shortly after the start placing her at a disadvantage, resulting in the apprentice not being able to test her mount at any stage. Therefor the gelding did not take any competitive part in the event.

VOLATILE ROSE – Raced wide throughout.

SNIPTEM – Raced wide throughout.

Race 4: Hawkins Fuel Benchmark 60 Handicap – 1400 metres:
1st – ZATSACAT 2nd – SPECK OF GOLD 3rd – ROMAN PLEASURE 4th – FIRST BASE

WINDSOR GOLD – Jockey J. Felix reported that after the gelding began awkwardly and lost considerable ground (4L) it resented the kick back and took no further competitive part in the event.

MAINS POWER – Apprentice rider J. Steele could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of the mare. A post – race veterinary examination of the mare did not reveal any abnormalities.

GUN AND POWER – Jockey G. Kliese reported that he raced wide throughout to avoid the kickback.
