Rail: Short course – Out 4 m from 800m to the 400m. 3m elsewhere
Long course – Out 3m entire circumference

General: As Jockey Walter Welburn was indisposed for the entire meeting stewards approved the following replacements:
Race 1 FAIRLY HUMBLE G. Evans
Race 3 NATURAL LIGHT D. Evans
Race 4 MY PROUD MAN G. Evans
RACE 1 MAIDEN HANDICAP 1400 METRES 8 STARTERS
As the gates opened JACOBIN (M. Unwin) jumped inwards and made contact with ANAJARA (D. Whitmore). Soon after jumping CHEPARIUS (J. Stephens) shifted outward abruptly causing ANAJARA (D. Whitmore) to be taken out and make heavy contact with JACOBIN (M. Unwin). At the 1000 metre mark JACOBIN (M. Unwin) shifted inwards and made contact with ANAJARA (D. Whitmore). At the 950 metre mark ANAJARA (D. Whitmore) had to be steadied when ON HIS OWN (B. Appo) shifted outwards off the fence. Jockey B. Appo was advised to show more care in the future. It was reported that ON HIS OWN (B. Appo) hung out from the 800 metre mark to the home turn. ANAJARA (D. Whitmore) was unable to obtain a clear run from the 600 metre mark to the 400 metre mark.
RACE 2 CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1600 METRES 6 STARTERS
WATHAM (G. Evans) laid inwards at the 1050 metre turn.
RACE 3 CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1000 METRES 9 STARTERS
As the start was effected D’FLYER (D. Whitmore) jumped outwards and made contact with TERRY’S SECRET (S. Quick). At the 600 metre mark STOP WATCH (B. Appo) stepped in momentarily and brushed the running rail. At the 500 metre mark WHYTOOK (M. Unwin) had to be steadied after improving onto the heels of DANCING LIMO (G. Evans). Stewards ordered that TIME TO WATCH (C. Beets) be inspected by the clubs veterinary surgeon after tailing off in the early stages and failing to improve throughout the event. The results of the inspection revealed the horse to be suffering from dehydration and no further abnormalities were evident.
RACE 4 OPEN HANDICAP 1800 METRES 7 STARTERS
As the gates opened MY PROUD MAN (G. Evans) jumped outwards. CRUNCHTIME (B. Appo) got its head in the air when being steadied at the 1600 metre mark. At the 1600 metre mark CLOSING TIME (D. Evans) brushed the running rail.
RACE 5 CLASS 6 HANDICAP 1200 METRES 7 STARTERS
As the start was affected LONDON LASS (R. Barone) reared and lost ground. MISTLAK (B. Appo) jumped outwards as the gates opened . OUR CHARIOTEER (J. Dagan) was slow into stride as the start was affected. At the 650 metre mark MONOCLE (F. Okawa) laid inwards and made contact with MISTLAK (B. Appo).
RACE 6 CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1300 METRES 11 STARTERS
SEA WALKING (J. Stephens) was inspected by the clubs veterinary surgeon prior to the running of this event and was passed fit to start. OVER TO YOU was a late scratching at 3.12pm by order of Stewards when there was no available rider for the horse. SMART SET (D. Evans (a)) raced greenly from the start of the event until straightening and laid inwards throughout the event, striking the running rail on numerous occasions from the start to the home turn. At the 450 metre mark SHOKA LENA (C. Beets) brushed the running rail. When rounding the home turn SEA WALKING (J. Stephens) was steadied momentarily off the heels of ROYAL JEST (R. Barone). At the 200 metre mark ROYAL JEST (R. Barone) shied inwards away from SEA WALKING (J. Stephens), when corrected ROYAL JEST (R. Barone) shifted out and hampered the running of POST MARK (B. Appo) who inturn shifted out causing SHADAT (G. Evans) to be steadied outwards.
SWABBING:
All winners were sent to be swabbed and those obtained forwarded to the Racing Science Centre for routine analysis.
