Race 1: MAIDEN HANDICAP (Div 1) - 1000 metres
CANDY DREAMS (A Lane) commenced to hang badly on the home turn taking REGENT DIAMOND (G Evans) and WOKE UP BROKE (S Quick) wider on the turn.
THE DUST FAIRY (M McDonald) slowly away.
REGENT DIAMOND lost a near hind shoe during the race. The veterinary surgeon reported that the horse had suffered a cut to the near hind coronet.
The veterinary surgeon reported that COLOUR SERGEANT had suffered an injury to its mouth from an incident in the barriers.

Race 2: MAIDEN HANDICAP (Div 2) - 100 metres
AGENIUS (D Johnston) slowly away.
CLIFTON ROSE (T Mathieson) slowly away.
KING FELLA (M Evans) had to be steadied off the heels of BILLYCAN SILVER (C Beets) at about the 600-metre mark when that horse commenced to lose ground.

Race 3: CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1000 metres
Jockey M Dale was indisposed following a ride in Race 1 and was replaced on RED GOER by D Evans.
CINDY KATE (M Barnham) slow into stride.
JOFFA’S APPEAL (M Evans) commenced to race wide from the 700 metres until the home turn.

Race 4: CLASS 5 HANDICAP - 1000 metres
VERTARA (H Hamada) struck the fence on two occasions near the 450-metre mark of its own accord.

Race 5: CLASS 4 HANDICAP - 1200 metres
Rounding the home turn LAURISTAN (D Green) rolled out slightly and on shifting back to the fence caused IRIANA STAR (D Whitmore) to be steadied to avoid its heels.
At about the 200 metres MOORABOOL FLYER (L Timson) commenced to lose ground. IRIANA STAR (D Whitmore) had to be checked when unable to hold its ground. The incident was compounded by VAIN VYNER (NZ)(C Beets) shifting in at the same time coming into contact with MOORABOOL FLYER. Jockey M Evans (CEE JAY TEE) and Jockey C Beets were reprimanded over the incident.

Race 6: QTIS 3-Y-O CLASS 6 HANDICAP – 1300 metres
Over the concluding stages COLONIAL EXPRESS (M McDonald) shifted out under pressure on to YO KIDOKI (M Barnham).

Race 7: SPECIAL CONDITIONS HANDICAP – 1600m

Jockey D Johnston the rider of ALL ABOUT CLASS was reprimanded for attempting to weigh out in club colours in place of the colours designated AR83(a).
Trainer Maryann Thexton the trainer of CORISANDE (NZ) was fined $50.00 for failing to notify a rider by the required time LR70.

Race 8: CLASS 3 HANDICAP – 1400 metres
At about the 1100 metres FINANCIAL HEIGHTS (D Evans) and SNAZZIE MAZZIE (J Stephens) were cramped for room when REGIMENTAL (S Quick) shifted in momentarily.
Jockey A Lane reported that he felt HUNTER SUPREME was sore on returning to scale.
