Race 1: SPECIAL CONDITIONS HANDICAP - About 1000 metres
Approaching the 800-metre mark WESTERN PLEASURE (M L Evans) commenced to over race and had to be steadied off the heels of CELECTIAL GLORY (R Hall).
WESTERN PLEASURE (M L Evans) jumped out and NAUTICAL MUNDA (L Timson) jumped in, both horses making contact with WE’RE LAUGHING (N Coyne).

Race 2: MAIDEN HANDICAP - About 1000 metres
At about the 300-metre mark MIGHTY THONG (M Goodwin) shifted out under pressure causing SUNNY SEQUEL (Ms S Quick) to change direction.
JOYFUL MISS (M L Evans) failed to show early speed.

Stewards conducted an inspection of the track and downgraded it to slow after Race 2.

Race 3: CLASS 3 HANDICAP - 1100 metres
SPEDITO (S Quick) and MY TRUE STAR (R Hall) both jumped awkwardly losing ground.

Race 4: CLASS 5 PLATE - 1200 metres
At about the 300-metre mark LAURISTAN (D Whitmore) came into contact with FEAR THE KNIGHT (Ms T Mathieson).

Race 5: CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1200 metres
Due to the inclement weather Race 5 was rescheduled to 3.35pm

Race 6: CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 1400 metres
Race 6 was rescheduled to 4.05pm.
ADELONG (M L Evans) jumped awkwardly at the start making contact with BOB’S BID (M J Stephens).
SET AND BET (S Quick) jumped awkwardly.



GENERAL:
Trainer H C Forster and Jockey N Coyne were brought before Stewards with regard to a claim by Noel Coyne that he had been engaged to ride two horses for H C Forster. It was determined that Trainer Ron Higginbotham had made the initial call and Mr Forster stated he would confirm with Noel Coyne if he required him. Both parties were advised to confirm arrangements with each other in future.
