STRATEGIC LASS jumped inwards at the start.
JADELLE raced wide throughout.
Stewards questioned trainer R Wilson and jockey C Beets regarding the improved performance of JADELLE. R Wilson explained that the horse had been spelled since going shin sore in November, and had shown an improvement on the track since he fitted blinkers to that filly. Although he expected an improved performance from the filly, there was very little stable support for the filly. Both trainer and jockey felt that the softer track had suited the filly.
FLIP HOSE raced greenly throughout, and approaching the home turn, threw its head in the air, and shifted out sharply across the heels of JADELLE.
Shortly after the start, the saddle on MONEY JAR slipped back, giving jockey D Green a difficult ride, and he had no option but to steady the horse out of the race. Stewards inspected the gear, and it was found to be of good quality.
