SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:

As riders M Rice and apprentice R Plumb was indisposed the following replacements were permitted as per the stewards summary sheet.

As rider M Stephens was ill the following riding replacements were permitted as per the stewards summary sheet.

Rider D Whitmore who was unable to make the weight in, Race 4 - RUBIES AND GOLD,
Race 6 – MORNING GLORY and Race 8 – LIVINGSTONE COUNTY was replaced as per the stewards summary sheet. D Whitmore was fined the sum of $400.00 under AR 120(b).

Race 1: XXXX BITTER FILLIES & MARES CLASS 1 H’CAP - 1200 M.
1st – SHE’S BEAUTIFUL 2nd – REGAL THEATRE 3rd – BONALEAR 4th – RUNDLE TWIST

The start was delayed due to the ambulance arriving late on course.

Trainer T Hess was fined the sum of $100.00 under LR 70 for failing to declare App T Bannon as the rider of REGAL THEATRE by the required time.

BOALEAR (App R McIver) was slow to begin.

OUTLAY (G Farrer) jumped out at the start making heavy contact with REGAL THEATRE
(App T Bannon).

Approaching the first turn RUNPHIR (App L Dillon) commenced to race ungenerously and shifted wider on the track.

OUTLAY (G Farrer) had to be steadied rounding the home turn when momentarily tightened for room by RUNPHIR (App L Dillon) which shifted in slightly.


Race 2: XXXX BITTER CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1200M.
1st – LORD GLENBURY 2nd – ZERINCO 3rd – CRAIGLEA PATH 4th – LACELINE

GREEN JACKET which refused to be loaded was declared a late scratching at 1.23pm.
On the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on GREEN JACKET were ordered to be refunded with the deductions of 8 cents on the face value of all win bets and 9 cents on the face value of all place bets to be applicable.

A Stephens the trainer of GREEN JACKET was advised the gelding must perform in an official barrier trial to stewards satisfaction prior to its next start.

Near the 1100m EESSPEE (N Evans) shifted in taking LORD GLENBURY (G Farrer) in onto THE ROAN RANGER (App C McIver) which had to be steadied and shift in. N Evans the rider of EESSPEE was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.

CRAIGLEA PATH (D Johnston) was momentarily held up leaving the 450m.

TOPLAYER (M Usher) was inclined to lay out rounding the home turn.


Race 3: HAHN PREMIUM OPEN H’CAP – 1200M.
1st – PROMISING JOY 2nd – ROSIELEE MISS 3rd – VICTORY SIREN 4th – DANATINA

Leaving the 800m both VICTORY SIREN (App D Carrigg) and DREAMS OF WEALTH
(S Quick) commenced to overrace for a short distance.


Race 4: HEINEKEN QTIS 2-Y-O H’CAP – 1000M.
1st – DECEIVING 2nd – LAZLO 3rd – RUBBIES AND GOLD 4th – DANZAMONKEY

KRISBIX (App D Carrigg) was slow to begin.

WINONA BRAVE (N Evans) began awkwardly.

DANZAMONKEY (App C McIver) jumped out at the start losing ground.

Approaching the 800m WINONA BRAVE (N Evans) became unbalanced and shifted in having to be steadied off the heels of DECEIVING (S Quick) and a short distance later again shifted in having to be restrained off that runners heels and as result was then obliged to race wide for the majority of the event.




Race 5: QRSE TOOHEYS EXTRA DRY CLASS 6 H’CAP – 1000M.
1st – KING HUNTER 2nd – CINDY KATE 3rd – CRYSTAL LANE 4th – HANDY HERO

PARIS MAIZ (App L Dillon) began awkwardly and shifted out making contact with ROCK OF MUFASA (App D Carrigg).

EQUITANT (M Usher) became unbalanced near the 800m and then commenced to race ungenerously until near the 400m.


Race 6: XXXX GOLD CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1000M.
1st – DOUBLE YOU 2nd – MORNING GLORY 3rd – LITTLE TOFFY 4th – FOLLOW MY DREAMS

FLOYD PEPPER (A Pattillo) began awkwardly and shifted out bumping SON OF WAR
(S Watkin).

IKEMOTO (M Usher) was slow to begin.

SON OF WAR (S Watkin) raced wide throughout the event.

A post race veterinary inspection of SON OF WAR failed to reveal any abnormalities.

When questioned into the improved performance of DOUBLE YOU, trainer T Cook stated it was the horses first start for him after a long spell and with the addition of blinkers the horse had pleased him in its work leading upto today’s event and that he had expected a forward showing. Stewards noted Mr Cook’s explanation.


Race 7: XXXX CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1500M.
1st – SHOVE OVER 2nd – LINK HOGTHROB 3rd – SYDNEY JACK 4th – GOLLY GOLD

Trainer H Hone was fined the sum of $100.00 under LR 70 for failing to declare A Pattillo as the rider of GOLLY GOLD by the prescribed time.

SHOVE OVER (App B Young) was slow to begin.

POWER LION (S Watkins) which was slow to begin was further hampered by STANDING OUT (N Evans) which jumped out at the start.

STANDING OUT (N Evans) which raced three wide in the early and middle stages compounded badly in the straight, as A Jones the trainer of STANDING OUT had removed that horse from the racetrack a post race veterinary inspection of the gelding was unable to be completed.

When questioned as to why STANDING OUT was taken off the course prior to the provisions of AR 117(3) Mr Jones stated that the horse was proving difficult to handle.

While stewards noted Mr Jones explanation he was nonetheless reprimanded under
AR 117(3) and further advised that he must produce a veterinary certificate of soundness prior to the horses next start.


Race 8: HAHN PREMIUM LIGHT MAIDEN H’CAP – 1600M.
1st – BROWNS PLAINS 2nd – MISTER CAV 3rd – BUSHLEY BEAU 4th – ALCHRISONTEE

Trainer L Horstman was fined the sum of $100.00 under LR 70 for failing to declare A Pattillo as the rider of HONEY QUEEN by the prescribed time.

OBAN (G Farrer) was slow to begin.

CRUISER LOSER (D Johnston) began awkwardly and then attempted to buck shortly after the start, connections were advised that CRUISER LOSER must compete in a trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to its next start.

D Johnston the rider of CRUISER LOSER was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out to the winning post under AR 137 (b).
