SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:

As M Barnham was unable to make the allotted weights in Race 2, Mydam Twist – Race 3, Chicabelle - Race 5, Equitant - Race 6, Hungry Heart, and Race 7, Oban, he was replaced as per stewards summary sheet. At a subsequent inquiry M Barnham was fined the sum of $500.00
under AR120(b).

Race 1: HAHN PREMIUM LIGHT CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1070M.
1st – EMPIR BURLESQUE 2nd – LEA LISA 3rd – PAMELA JEAN 4th – DRESS CODE

KAN’EMOTOR (L Timson), HARD WOOD FOREST (App C McIver) and PAMELA JEAN (J Stephens) were all slow to begin.

Leaving the 900m, KANE’MOTOR (L Timson) was momentarily tightened between HARD WOOD FOREST (App C McIver) which had tendency to lay in and DRESS CODE (M Barnham) which shifted out.

RAPID RUBY (M Cant) and LITTLE TOFFY (A Pattillo) made contact when both horses shifted ground.


Leaving the 400m LITTLE TOFFY (A Pattillo) shifted out to obtain clear running making contact with RAPID RUBY (M Cant) which in turn shifted out inconveniencing DRESS CODE (M Barnham) which had to be steadied. A Pattillo, the rider of LTTLE TOFFY was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.

EMPIRE BURLESQUE (App L Dillon) had a tendency to lay in under pressure over the concluding stages.

HARD WOOD FOREST (App C McIver) lay in leaving the 400m until the winning post.

Race 2: XXXX GOLD OPEN H’CAP – 1070M.
1st – CRAIGLEA EMMA 2nd – DANGEROUS HOST 3rd – KOUNELI 4th – STIPEND

STIPEND (A Best) was slow to begin.

MYDAM TWIST (M Cant) began awkwardly.

CRAIGLEA EMMA (App C McIver) had a tendency to lay in under pressure over the final 50m crowding DANGEROUS HOST (App P Randall).

DANGEROUS HOST (App P Randall) raced wide throughout the race.

When questioned, A Pattillo could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of CINDY KATE other than the mare may not have backed up, being its second run from a spell.

A McMahon, the trainer of CINDY KATE stated that while he was disappointed with the horses performance, other than keeping the mare fresh for today’s race, he was unable to offer any explanation and undertook to advise stewards should anything come to note that may have had a bearing on today’s performance. A veterinary inspection of CINDY KATE failed to reveal any abnormalities and the horse was swabbed.

Mr McMahon, later advised stewards, that after cooling down, CINDY KATE was showing soreness across its loins and as such was advised a veterinary certificate of soundness must be provided prior to the mares next start.

Race 3: TOOHEYS NEW QTIS 2 YO H’CAP – 1200M.
1st – TIME TO STAR 2nd – LEED 3rd – LEPRECHAUN LASS 4th – SWEET ‘N’ INNOCENT

LEPRECHAUN LASS (R Kerwin) was slow to begin.

Both CHICABELLE (J Stephens) and HARRY TOOK A LOT (App A Coome) began awkwardly.

Approaching the 800m BROKEN CHAIN (App M Radecker) shifted out forcing CHICABELLE (C Beets) wider on the track.

Leaving the 800m HARRY TOOK A LOT (App A Coome) commenced to race ungenerously and shifted out, and short distance later shifted in, inconveniencing CHICABELLE (J Stephens) near the 700m and again near the 600m.

TIME TO STAR (App L Dillon) raced greenly in the early and middle stages.
Race 4: HAHN PREMIUM CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1200M.
1st – MAGIC SOIREE 2nd – PARTINGS 3rd – SHE’S BEAUTIFUL 4th – JYI’S PROSPECT

MAGIC SOIREE (A Pattillo) was slow to begin.

CHIEF EAGLE EYED (App M Radecker) began awkwardly.

TOP RANGE (L Timson) and RORY’S NORTH (App C McIver) made contact at the start when both horses shifted ground.

Leaving the 950m JYI’S PROSPECT (App P Randall) commenced to overrace and had to be steadied off the heels SHE’S BEAUTIFUL (App L Dillon) near the 800m.

JYI’S PROSPECT (App P Randall) lay out under pressure near the 200m.

TOP RANGE (L Timson) raced wide throughout the race.

SHE’S BEAUTIFUL lost its near hind plate during the race.

Race 5: HEINEKEN CLASS 6 H’CAP – 1400M.
1st – BELLO GINO & ST SPARTICA (DH) 3rd – REUBENS GOLD 4th – LINK HOGTHROB

REUBENS GOLD (App C McIver) was slow to begin.

JAMAICA FAREWELL (S Quick) began awkwardly and shifted in making contact with LINK HOGTHROB (App T Bannon) at the start.

JAMAICA FAREWELL (S Quick) raced wide for the majority of the race.

A post race veterinary inspection of JAMAICA FAREWELL which was tailed off failed to reveal any abnormalities. B Challacombe, the trainer of JAMAICA FAREWELL was advised a warning would be placed on that horses racing manners in regards to its poor performance.

Race 6: XXXX CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1300M.
1st – ENTER MY MIND 2nd – PROM COAST 3rd – MR CLANG 4th – SMART GREEN

I Robertson, the trainer of ENTER MY MIND, was fined the sum of $50.00 under AR140B(2) for presenting that runner with the incorrect gear.

Both HUNGRY HEART (L Timson) and DANGER SIGN (App L Dillon) were slow to begin.

Approaching the 1000m, CAUGHT A YABBIE (S Quick) commenced to overrace and near the 850m had to be steadied, and shift in hampering HUNGRY HEART (L Timson) when taken in by SMART GREEN (App C McIver). C McIver, the rider of SMART GREEN, was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.

Race 7: XXXX GOLD MAIDEN H’CAP – 1500M.
1st – MADDISON COURT 2nd – REGAL HENRY 3rd – TAKE THE CAKE 4th – ASK

After dislodging a rear plate, stewards permitted FLEUR DE PARIS to race without its rear plates when no other plate was attainable.

Both FLEUR DE PARIS (App P Randall) and OBAN (C Beets) were tightened for room at the start when tightened between TINDAROO STAR (App L Dillon) which shifted out and MADDISON COURT (App M Radecker) which shifted in.

TAKE THE CAKE (App A Coome), GO JACK (App C McIver) and CHARNOOK (N Evans) were all obliged to race wide throughout the race.

A post race veterinary inspection of SKY WISE (L Timson), which raced ungenerously for the majority of the race and was tailed off, failed to reveal any abnormalities. I Jackson, the trainer of SKY WISE, was advised the horse must perform in an official barrier trial to the steward’s satisfaction prior to its next start.


Race 8: XXXX BITTER CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1400M.
1st – PACIFIC SEA 2nd – REGAL ACCLAIM 3rd – MIDNIGHT GIN 4th – LEICANAVALANCHE

Both BON SIMONE (C Beets) and MISHAEL (App M Radecker) lost ground at the start when tightened for room between SACRED HARMONEY (A Pattillo) which jumped out and CLEAR INTENT (App C McIver) which jumped in.

BROWNS PLAINS (App T Bannon) which raced wide in early stages had tendency to overrace.

Leaving the 600m, PACIFIC SEA (App L Dillon) improved onto the heels of LEICANAVALANCHE (App P Randall) and had to be steadied.

REGAL ACCLAIM (M Barnham) raced wide throughout the race.












ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED AND RACE 2, CINDY KATE.
