SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:
As A Pattillo was indisposed he was replaced as per steward’s summary.
Race 1: HAHN PREMIUM LIGHT QTIS MAIDEN H’CAP (1ST DIV) – 1070M.
1st – JACARANDA CHARM 2nd – KAAPERINA 3rd – TALK TO THE HAND 4th – GRAND SECRET
KAAPERINA (M Cant) jumped out at the start making heavy contact with JACARANDA CHARM (App M Radecker) which in turn shifted out making contact with TALK TO THE HAND (App M Price) which shifted out brushing MYNOOT KANOOT (D Whitmore) which then shifted in further tightening TALK TO THE HAND.
Leaving the 850m CAMPUS BLUE (N Evans) after improving onto the heels of XODIA (M Evans) had to be steadied, MATT’S PRIDE (J Stephens) which was following had to be steadied as a result and shifted out inconveniencing JACARANDA CHARM (App M Radecker) which had to be checked and shift wider on the track.
CAMPUS BLUE (N Evans) shifted in near the 650m making contact with the inside running rail.
Approaching the 200m CAMPUS BLUE (N Evans) was held up for clear running and shifted out, then shortly after shifted back in and was disappointed for a run between GRAND SECRET (D Johnston) and MYNOOT KANOOT (D Whitmore) which shifted out. A short distance later MYNOOT KANOOT shifted in, resulting in CAMPUS BLUE and JACARANDA BLUE making contact when both horses attempted a narrow run, CAMPUS BLUE was further hampered by MYNOOT KANOOT which shifted out under pressure. D Whitmore, the rider of MYNOOT KANOOT was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
MATT’S PRIDE (J Stephens) raced greenly throughout the race.
Race 2: HAHN PREMIUM LIGHT QTIS MAIDEN H’CAP (2ND DIV) – 1070M.
1st – SUNSHINE STAR 2nd – KOKONINA 3rd – IN SECRET 4th – MR TOXIC
MR TOXIC (App L Dillon) commenced to over race near the 900m for a short distance and had to be steadied off the heels of JUST LIKE SEAGAL (App R Plumb).
Near the 400m, KOKONINA (W Morris) became unbalanced and shifted out abruptly forcing IN SECRET (App C McIver) out, inconveniencing JUST LIKE SEAGAL (App R Plumb) which inturn shifted out taking SUNSHINE STAR (App D Carrigg) wider on the track.
Approaching the 300m KOKONINA (W Morris) shifted in under pressure placing MR TOXIC (App L Dillon) in restricted room for a short distance and as a result having to be steadied.
W Morris, the rider of KOKONINA was severely reprimanded and advised to show more effort in future to keep his mounts straight in similar circumstances.
MR TOXIC (App L Dillon) shifted out under pressure leaving the 100m hampering CRUISER LOSER (App M Radecker). L Dillon, the rider of MR TOXIC was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.
Race 3: TOOHEYS NEW CLASS 3 PLATE (S/W) – 1200M.
1st – HAPPY SPOT 2nd – REGAL ACCLAIM 3rd – MAGGIE’S HERO 4th – FLEET STREET
Both MAGGIE’S HERO (N Evans) and INALA SISTERINA (App D Carrigg) were slow to begin.
Race 4: HAHN PREMIUM CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1600M.
1st – CORRIENTE 2nd – KING OF SPURS 3rd – ENCORES AND ROSES 4th - MISHAEL
MIDNIGHT GIN (M Cant) which was fractious in the barriers jumped in the air as the start was effected losing ground.
NO IDEE (N Evans) began awkwardly and then raced wide throughout the event.
EQUITANT (D Johnston) raced wide and over raced in the early and middle stages.
KING OF SPURS (D Whitmore) and BON SIMONE (C Beets) raced wide throughout the race.
D Johnston was examined by the clubs medical officers following the event and stood down from his further engagements. D Johnston was advised he must produce a medical clearance prior to his next race riding engagement.
Race 5: HEINEKEN MAIDEN H’CAP – 1400M.
1st – TAKE THE CAKE 2nd – SPARKLING ASCOT 3rd – BENJI’S BABE 4th – ASK
As D Johnston was indisposed he was replaced as the rider of KALINGA REGAL by D Evans.
The start was delayed when STAR OF TRINITY sprung its near hind plate during its preliminary and had to be replated.
LOUIE THE FLY (C Beets) was slow to begin.
DANGER SIGN (App C McIver) began awkwardly.
Shortly after the start TAKE THE CAKE (App A Coome) commenced to lay out inconveniencing LADY STRAVARI (N Evans) which threw its head in air when being restrained and lost ground.
EMIT HOPE (S Quick) commenced to race ungenerously near the 1100m and had to be steadied.
LADY SHABANG (J Stephens) had a tendency to over race near the 900m and had to be steadied off the heels of DANGER SIGN (App C McIver).
BENJI’S BABE (App M Price) was held up for clear running approaching the 400m until near the 300m.
DANGER SIGN (App C McIver) shifted in making contact with inside running rail near the 400m and again near the 100m.
LOUIE THE FLY (C Beets) raced wide for the majority of the race.
SPARKLING ASCOT lost its off front plate during the event.
Race 6: XXXX BITTER CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1400M.
1st – SACRED HARMONY 2nd – DRESS CODE 3rd – PROM COAST 4th – PAMELA JEAN
TAMING THE SHREW (L Timson) was slow to begin.
PROM COAST (App M Radecker), FINE SEAS (D Whitmore), INTUITIVE LAD (App C McIver) and DETONATES (App D Carrigg) all began awkwardly losing ground.
INTUITIVE LAD (App C McIver) had a tendency to lay in for a short distance leaving the 1000m.
DETONATES (App D Carrigg) became awkward on the heels of FINE SEAS (D Whitmore) near the 800m clipping that horses heels and blundering.
LIGHTON (M Cant) became unbalanced approaching the 600m and shifted out.
Race 7: XXXX CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1200M.
1st – MY DIAMOND DAN 2nd – MULESKINNER 3rd – BEAT THE RUSH 4th – AQUA’S BEST
AQUA’S BEST (App R Plumb) after being fractious in the barriers began awkwardly losing ground.
SEA DYNASTY (S Quick) jumped out at the start making contact with MULESKINNER (App A Coome) which shifted out forcing ENTER MY MIND (N Evans) out onto BEAT THE RUSH (L Timson).
KENYA KEEPA SECRET (App T Bannon) began awkwardly.
Approaching the 800m ENTER MY MIND (N Evans) commenced to race ungenerously and threw its head in the air losing ground and near the 650m became unbalanced losing ground.
ENTER MY MIND (N Evans) was held up for clear running approaching the 100m until near the 50m.
SEDA SANDATA (D Whitmore) which was tailed off was examined by the clubs veterinary surgeon who reported the mare to be showing soreness in its off front leg. A Garland, the trainer SEDA SANDATA gave an undertaking to advise stewards should anything further come to his attention and was advised a veterinary certificate of soundness must be provided prior to its next start.
Race 8: XXXX GOLD CLASS 6 H’CAP – 1200M.
1st – TRANSACT 2nd – ENDORPHIN 3rd – STAGE SHAKER 4th – YO KIDOKI
As D Johnston was indisposed, he was replaced by C Beets as the rider of STAGE SHAKER.
STIPEND (A Best) was slow to begin.
TRANSACT (D Lloyd) began awkwardly.
KALINGA COUNTY (D Evans) was eased shortly after the start when tightened for room between ENDORPHIN (App L Dillon) and BIRRONG (N Evans) both of which shifted ground.
STAGE SHAKER (C Beets) lay out near the 800m and as a result became unbalanced for a short distance.
BIRRONG (N Evans) shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
DIFFERENTIAL (App T Bannon) raced wide for the majority of the race.
