SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:

As R Mules was indisposed he was replaced as per steward’s summary sheet. R Mules was advised that he must provide medical evidence of his disabilities and gain a further medical clearance before his next race riding engagement.

Apprentice E Hooper was indisposed and unable to fulfil her riding engagements for today’s meeting. E Hooper was advised that she must provide medical evidence of her disabilities and a further medical clearance before his next race riding engagement.

Race 1: CAMBRIDGE HOTEL MOTEL CLASS 6 PLATE S/W H’CAP – 1600M.
1st – LOVE GOD 2nd – OUR MOE MAN 3rd – RUSSIAN BEAU 4th – BATTLE JACKET

LOVE GOD (App L Dillon) was slow to begin.

ENCORE AND ROSES (M Cant) began awkwardly.

OUR MOE MAN (App C McIver) raced wide in the middle stages of the race.

LOVE GOD (App L Dillon) was held up for clear running leaving the 600m until near the 200m.

OUR MOE MAN (App C McIver) and LOVE GOD (App L Dillon) brushed on a number of occasions over the concluding stages as a result of both horses shifting ground under pressure.

The clubs veterinary surgeon reported that OUR MOE MAN had suffered a bleeding attack during the race and as such G Taylor, the trainer of OUR MOE MAN, was advised the gelding would incur the mandatory three month ban under the provisions of AR53A. A swab sample of OUR MOE MAN was taken.
Race 2: PRYDE’S EASIFEED CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1000M.
1st – TINY TOO 2nd – JEWEL SPEED 3rd – BILLIGABOO 4th – LAZLO

As apprentice P Randall was to be over weight he was replaced as the rider of BILLIGABOO by apprentice T Bannon.

SRIETTE (M Evans), TINY TOO (App L Dillon) and BILLIGABOO (App T Bannon) were all slow to begin.

GORDON’S TIME (S Quick) began awkwardly and jumped inwards and then raced wide for the majority of the race.

Race 3: ROCKHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL MAIDEN PLATE S/W – 1100M.
1st – REVOLVA 2nd – BEAUTIFUL DIVKA 3rd – LILY OF THE WEST 4th – BLUE TOM

At the request of P Cornick, the trainer of SANTA BRAGITA, steward’s permitted apprentice P Randall to ride that horse without taking any advantage of his 3 kilogram claim. At a subsequent inquiry P Randall was fined the sum of $200.00 under AR92 (12).

The start was delayed when MONTUNA (S Campton) proved difficult to load.

MONTUNA (S Campton) refused to jump and took no part in the race. M Stafford, the trainer of MONTUNA, was advised that the horse must obtain a further barrier certificate and perform in an official barrier trial to the steward’s satisfaction before being permitted to race again.

CUMMJADD (N Evans) and SANTA BRAGITA (App P Randall) made contact at the start as a result of both horses shifting ground.

RENAISSANT (D Evans) began awkwardly.

Race 4: 2007 CAPRICORNIA SALES 2Y0 CLASSIC S/W – 1200M.
1st – DEGENDA 2nd – ABIRRA 3rd – SIXTY MINUTES 4th – WANNSEE KNIGHT

PATMOSS was declared a late scratching at 9.00am due to no rider being available.

HALF DRUNK (App P Randall) jumped inwards at the start making contact with ABBIRA (D Johnston).

DODGE THIS (App T Bannon) was tightened for room at the start between SIXY MINUTES (App L Dillon) and ALUDRA (S Quick) which began awkwardly and jumped outwards. ALUDRA lost ground as a result.

Approaching the 1000m WANNASEE KNIGHT (J Stephens) commenced to over race for a short distance when the pace eased and had to be steadied off the heels of ABIRRA (D Johnston), DEGENDA (A Lane) which was following also commenced to over race and had to restrained off the heels of WANNASEE KNIGHT for a short distance.

Near the 800m SIXTY MINUTES (App L Dillon) commenced to over race and had to be steadied after becoming awkward on the heels of CHARMING LEA (App C McIver) which shifted in slightly.

DONQUALO (M Evans), FORBIDDEN BID (D Whitmore), KAI ANNA (N Evans) and CHARMING LEA (App C McIver) all raced wide for the majority of the race.

Race 5: CENTRAL QLD THOROUGHBRED BREEDER’S ASSOCIATION CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1200M.
1st – OUR CEASE FIRE 2nd – SADDLER’S RHYTHM 3rd – GO ATOM 4th – REELIN AND ROCKING

REUBENS GOLD (N Evans) and GO ATOM (S Quick) were both slow to begin.

REELIN AND RICKING (M Cant) began awkwardly and shifted out making contact with ZOE’S LASS (A Lane).

OUR CEASE FIRE (D Evans) began awkwardly and over raced in the early stages of the event.

REELIN AND ROCKING (M Cant) was held up for clear running from the 350m until near the finish line.
Leaving the 200m MAJOR ADAIR (App C McIver) shifted out under pressure momentarily placing SADDLER’S RHYTHM (App L Dillon) in restricted room for short distance. C McIver, the rider of MAJOR ADAIR, was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
