Mr Thompson was advised that the horse will now be barred from racing for 3 months under A.R. 53A, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000 metres in the presence of a steward.
Stablehands A Ladbrook and J. Johnston were fined $100 for wearing inappropriate footwear. In considering penalty, stewards were mindful that both licensees had previously been reprimanded for similar breaches of the rule.
