SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS

RACE 1: STATHAM & CHEESMAN QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 900M-
1st-Frostinoss 2nd-Boyng 3rd-Diesel 4th-Bomber Murphy

As there was no suitable rider available Stewards permitted C Bryen to ride RUN RIVA 1/2kg overweight. Stewards reprimanded C Bryen for accepting a ride when overweight.

MY LADY IN WAITING (D Monaghan) was slow to begin.

Shortly after the start DIESEL (D McWhinney) commenced to hang out taking NO MORE DIAMONDS (C Rogers) wider on the track.

Approaching the 700m, MILLS AND BOOM (S Sweedman) shifted in tightening the running of BOMBER MURPHY (R Kerwin) which was forced to ease. S Sweedman was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.

Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards considered an application by jockey R Kerwin the rider of BOMBER MURPHY to be declared a non runner on the basis of being denied a fair start. Stewards after taking evidence and reviewing the patrol films ruled that BOMBER MURPHY’S barrier was slow to open thus denying the gelding the full opportunity to begin on terms with the remainder of the field. Therefore acting under the provisions Ar134A Stewards declared the gelding a non runner. Upon the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies invested on BOMBER MURPHY be refunded with deductions of 32cents win and 21cents the place to apply to all successful bets.

RACE 2: NAB CLASS B H’CAP 1000M-
1ST-Stomp The Yard 2nd-Nashama 3rd Missy’s Gotthecash 4th-Horazov

ESTRELLITO (S Sweedman) jumped out at the start making heavy contact with SUPER SAMAURAI (C Bryen).

HORAZOV (R Kerwin) raced wide throughout.

R Kerwin dropped her whip near the 100m.

Stewards questioned Trainer J Crompton and Jockey S Sweedman in relation to the performance of ESTRELLITO which performed below market expectations. Mr Sweedman stated that the gelding raced very one paced and was hard ridden a long way from home. Mr Sweedman further advised that is his opinion the gelding raced like a horse which would be better suited in longer races. Ms Crompton advised that this is the gelding’s first start in her care and based on its previous form it would appear to be much better suited in races over longer distances. Stewards noted both explanations.

A post race veterinary inspection of SUPER SAMAURAI failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 3: THE PICNICS LIFE MEMBERS (J SCOTT/B HARMS/J FRITH/R FERRIER) CLASS 4 H’CAP 1000M-
1ST-Bonza Bronze 2nd-Lucky Duke 3rd-Sofie Fatale 4th-Taimteer

TAIMTEER (R Kerwin) was slow to begin.

SOFIE FATALE (S Sweedman) was slow to begin. Stewards placed a warning on the mare and advised connections that a repeat performance may result in further action being taken.

LUCKY DUKE (D Monaghan) jumped in the air at the start.

LET THERE BE ROCK (J Warrington) began awkwardly.

RACE 4: CARLTON MID OPEN H’CAP 1200M-
1st-Laertes 2nd-Degenda 3rd-Glasgow Town 4th-Mr Tombola

As there was no other rider available Stewards permitted C Rogers 2kg overweight.

GLASGOW TOWN (G Geran) became awkward shortly after the start losing ground.

RACE 5: D.A ROBINSON JEWELLERS CLASS 2 H’CAP 1200M-
1ST-Conchenka 2nd-Frisco Affair 3rd-Legal Fee 4th-Let’s command

AMAROCCO SPECIAL (R Kerwin) was slow to begin losing ground. Stewards placed a warning on the mare and advised connections that a repeat performance may result in further action being taken.

Shortly after the start FRISCO AFFAIR (D McWhinney) commenced to lay into making contact with ELIMINATION and lost ground.
