RACE 1. MOUNTS MACHINERY HANDICAP MAIDEN 1000M.

DARKNESS ABOVE raced wide in early stages.

ANSOUIS dislodged Jockey R Kerwin on the way to the barrier. After galloping a short distance the mare returned to the stabling area, was recaptured and returned to the barriers where the Veterinarian passed the horse to start.

ANSOUIS was slow to jump.

A protest was entered by R Kerwin the rider of the third placegetter ANSOUIS against the second placegetter KENTUCKY BOMBER (C Rogers) alleging interference at the 350 m.
After taking evidence from all parties involved and viewing the patrol video (which did not assist) Stewards dismissed the protest on the grounds that they did not believe that any ground that may have been lost by ANSOUIS would have altered the result of the race. Therefore the judges placings were to stand.

CUPPA TEA LOVE raced very greenly at 600m. A subsequent Veterinary inspection revealed that the mare was sore in her front legs. Trainer’s representative Mr McEwan advised that the mare would go for at three month spell. Veterinary certificate required prior to racing again.

HAVE A GUESS slow at the start.

KENTUCKY BOMBER shifted out of the 350m.

RACE 2. ROMA CONCRETE HCP Class B 1000M.

MASTER FARALON veered out at the start and raced wide throughout.

NADOR raced widely in the middle stages.

LUNA AZZURA was a late scratching at 10 AM as no rider was available.

IMA BRONZE was very slow into stride.

SHEARERS MAGIC raced below market expectations and weakened badly in the straight. Rider N Morton and trainer R Frazer could not offer any explanation. Mr Fraser will advise of any abnormalities if they become apparent.

RACE 3. KIMLINS CAMPING WORLD HCP BENCHMARK 60 1200M.

MORE OF THE ZAIM raced three wide in the lead for the entire race.

CRAWFISH taken outwards in the early stages.

OH SO CLOSE raced wide throughout.

JUNCTION SPUR shifted out after jumping away.

THE WATER BOMBER raced wide for the entire race.

RACE 4. LJ HOOKER HCP OPEN 1000M.

SECRETS REVEALED contacted a horse on its outside on jumping away.

REV THE CHEV hung out in the early stages.

REALEE wasn’t able to muster any earlier pace and finished in last position. Trainers representative Mr McEwan said that the mare was sharply up in class but very disappointing and would be retired immediately .

RACE 5. RAY WHITE ROMA HCP Benchmark 55 1640m.

TOUCAN UKELELE was wide out of the straight and ran wide on the home turn.

CRAIGLEA EVITA jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
