SUPPLEMENTARY
From 23.6.12 Tattersall’s Racing Club – Eagle Farm:
Race 4: Stewards inquired into the reason for HOLEY GADOLEY (G. Cooksley) having to be steadied near the 400m. After taking evidence from C. Munce (HOSS AMOR), G. Colless (PLATINUM STATE) and G. Cooksley, it was established that prior to this incident PLATINUM STATE was hanging out, which enabled HOLEY GADOLEY to improve to its inside passing the 500m. A short distance after this HOSS AMOR improved to the outside of PLATINUM STATE and PLATINUM STATE shifted in away from that runner, which resulted in HOLEY GADOLEY being tightened for room. Stewards were comfortably satisfied that this incident was due to the racing manners of PLATINUM STATE and no rider error.
Race 1: RACING RETRO MAIDEN H’CAP - 1000m
1st – Little Feather 2nd – King Eagle 3rd – Itara 4th – Just Pink
Subject to further submissions from trainer K. Walker, a fine of $100 will be imposed for the late declaration of P. Hammersley as the rider of ITARA.
ITARA (P. Hammersley), JUST PINK (J. Taylor) and PLACID HOST (S. Drake) were all tightened for room at the start between KING EAGLE (D. Gill) and BEYOND THE STORM (B. Avdulla), both of which began very awkwardly and shifted ground. In this incident PLACID HOST and ITARA both lost ground.
Stewards questioned B. Avdulla regarding the performance of BEYOND THE STORM. He stated that today he had no specific riding instructions, however after beginning well he elected to push forward in an endeavour to take up the lead. He added that at a point leaving the 800m when caught wide, he was unable to assume the lead when the two runners to his inside improved and therefore he elected to take hold in an endeavour to obtain a position closer to the fence. He further added that BEYOND THE STORM failed to respond to his riding in the home straight and weakened over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination of BEYOND THE STORM failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Race 2: OFF THE RAILS MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
1st – Kylie Em 2nd – Idle Minds 3rd – Fleet Anchor 4th – Ruthless Babe
Stable representative P. O’Rourke was advised that trainer R. Balcombe will be fined $100 for ALLAMANDA LAD (P. Hammersley) being presented late into the mounting yard.
The start was delayed when ALLAMANDA LAD required farrier attention behind the barriers. The start was further delayed when that runner proved difficult to load. Connections were advised that 2 further barrier certificates, one being in an official barrier trial, must be obtained prior to the horse’s next start.
AGAINST ALL ODDS (S. Drake) blundered on jumping away.
KYLIE EM (J. Taylor) began awkwardly.
AGAINST ALL ODDS overraced in the early stages.

DOMINI overraced during the early stages.
STAGE EXIT (A. Allen) raced wide throughout.
M. Gray, the rider of DOMINI, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR. 137(a) in that approaching the 400m he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of CHUBBY CHIPMUNK, forcing that runner out, causing KEEPIN' GRACE (R. Mason) to be tightened for room between CHUBBY CHIPMUNK and STAGE EXIT (A. Allen) and as a result having to be checked. M. Gray’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 meetings, to commence at midnight on Wednesday, 4 July, and expire at midnight on Sunday, 15 July 2012.

Apprentice Hearn’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 meetings, to commence at midnight on Saturday, 7 July, and expire at midnight on Wednesday, 18 July 2012. In addition, apprentice Hearn was advised that he must attend one session with the Riders Advisory Panel for further tuition.
WISHBONE JACK (K. Matheson) was held up for clear running from the 500m until entering the early part of the straight.
A. Spinks (VAIN AT HEART) reported that his saddle shifted back rounding the home turn, placing him at a severe disadvantage in riding his mount out in his usual manner.
Apprentice A. Hearn reported that MATILLA BAY wanted to hang in throughout.
A post-race veterinary examination of BALLROOM DANCE (D. Browne) revealed the filly to be lame in the near foreleg. Trainer N. McCall was advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to the horse’s next start.

As K. Pope was to be overweight, J. Taylor was substituted as the rider of GALAXY KING. K. Pope was fined $100.
A delay was caused to the start when RAMBLING ON (B. Avdulla) had to be resaddled behind the barriers.
