Moveable rail out 9 metres from the 1800 to 400 then 10 metres from the 400 metres to the winning post.

GENERAL: As M. Schumacher was indisposed he was replaced on the following:
Race 3 SAHARA SIGN L. Harris
Race 6 IRISH BUNNY G. Skinner
As no senior rider was available M. Schumacher was replaced on VARSITY DANCER (Race 4) by apprentice L. Cronan.

The explanation of trainer J. Hannah was accepted as to the reason a rider for MIDNIGHT MENACE (Race 3) was not declared by the required time. The mare was subsequently ridden by M. Privato.

The explanation of trainer G. Reid was also accepted as to the reason a rider for COLD SEA Race 4) was not declared by the required time. COLD SEA was subsequently ridden by L. Harris.

As jockey G. Skinner was indisposed he was replaced on SENTENCES (Race 4) by R. Thomas, on IRISH BUNNY (Race 6) by L. Harris and on PAUSE (Race 7) by L. Harris.


RACE 1
DAYANA HANDICAP 1000 metres

Shortly after the start KING BAY shifted out and made contact with NO SLOUCH.


RACE 2
TAJ ROSSI HANDICAP 1600 metres

MORE PICKINGS reared as he gates were released and lost considerable ground.


RACE 3
MAHOGANY HANDICAP 1000 metres

GO TRIST was slow to begin.

RACE 4
RACING AGAINST MS HANDICAP 1300 metres

VARSITY DANCER jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.
Approaching the 800 metres ALL THE SAME had to be steadied off the heels of HELLO NORMA JEAN.
At the 800 metres turn RARE REVIEW shifted out and made contact with ALL THE SAME.


RACE 5
HORLICKS HANDICAP 1000 metres

After jumping away awkwardly TERRAPIN STATION shifted out and made contact with SIMEON'S WAY and AS EQUAL.
SIMEON'S WAY was held up for a clear run over the concluding stages.


RACE 6
BETTER LOOSEN UP HANDICAP 1000 metres

Approaching the 800 metres CHRISTMAS TOY had to be steadied off the heels of SHOWZON which shifted in.


RACE 7
BELMURA LAD HANDICAP 1300 metres

FRENCH MOVIE STAR and PAUSE came together on jumping away.
After jumping away awkwardly RANCHALL shifted in and made contact with PRINCE ADAM.
Approaching the 1200 metres FRENCH MOVIE STAR had to be steadied when tightened for room between PAUSE and RANCHALL which shifted out slightly.







All winners plus PRINCE ADAM (pre race - race 7) were swabbed.
