RACE 1
BELLS CREEK HANDICAP 1800 metres
At the entrance to the straight DISVADUNYA was disappointed for a run between WITH IMPULSION and SOVANCE. In this incident DISVADUNYA made solid contact with the hind quarters of SOVANCE resulting in that gelding becoming unbalance.
Leaving the 300 metres DISVADUNYA was inclined to lay out when placed under pressure.
After leaving the 200 metres KRONA LADY was disappointed for a run between JAKE’S THE MAN and SOVANCE which shifted out under pressure.
JAKE’S THE MAN which was inclined to lay in under pressure approaching the 100 metres, shifted in and had to be steadied off the heels of SOVANCE.

RACE 2
COOCHIN CREEK HANDICAP 1800 metres
Passing the 1600 metres DAI RAN was inclined to lay out taking LAWREY’S BELLOTTO out on to the heels of KARMA COUNTY. In this incident LAWREY’S BELLOTTO had to be steadied off the heels of KARMA COUNTY and took ALL THE SAME wider on the track.
At the same stage the saddle on ALL THE SAME shifted forward placing its rider apprentice Y. Oto at a disadvantage for the remainder of the event and this resulted in the gelding finishing a distant last..
RACE 3
PUMICESTONE PASSAGE HANDICAP 1000 metres
ABELLA was slow to begin.
Rounding the home turn and for a short distance in the straight DECEPTIVE DANCER was held up for a clear run
RACE 4
LAKE MAGELLAN HANDICAP 1400 metres
Trainer Barry Phillips was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare a rider for HAND GRENADE by the required time.
RACE 5
TOOWAY CREEK PLATE 1200 metres
TAHINI MISS and POSTILI were both slow to begin.
When pulling hard approaching the 800 metres TEL EL EISA shifted out to avoid the heels of RAYASAY and in doing so took ACE CAN DO out across the heels of FERRY IN In this incident GRAND VENTURE and POETIC OAK were both inconvenienced.
Approaching the 450 metres BREAK AND ENTER shifted out to improve and made contact with ZALZALLA.
KEA LEAH which was following was inconvenienced.
Approaching the 200 metres STAR COSSER was inconvenienced when DRY MARTINI shifted in momentarily.

RACE 6
CURRIMUNDI CREEK HANDICAP 1200 metres
CRAFTY SILVER was slow to begin.
ROJAH VIVIAN jumped away awkwardly.
OUR CHARIOT raced ungenerously from the 1000 metres until approaching the 600 metres and raced wide for the remainder of the event.
Approaching the 550 metres CRAFTY SILVER and JAYWALKER made contact. In this incident JAYWALKER became unbalanced and shifted out and had to be steadied off the heels of DISTINCTLY.
ROJAH VIVIAN which was racing to the outside was also inconvenience.
Trainer Trevor Miller was advised that POETIC GARDEN which bled will now incur the mandatory three month ban from racing.
RACE 7
MOOLOOLAH RIVER HANDICAP 1000 metres
As apprentice T. Banks was to be overweight he was replaced on WATAGAN LASS by apprentice N. Tomizawa. Apprentice T. Banks was subsequently fined the sum of $100.
CENTRELARINA which struck its head in the float en route to the course was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon prior to the event and passed fit to start.
DARING MISS and KERNAGHAN were both slow to begin.
Approaching the 800 metres CENTRELARINA shifted out taking ROAD TO CAIRO out on to WATAGAN LASS. In this incident both ROAD TO CAIRO and WATAGAN LASS became unbalanced.
Approaching the 700 metres WATAGAN LASS shifted in and away from OUR SILVER LINING taking ROAD TO CAIRO in on to ALEX’S CUE.
Rounding the home turn DARING MISS which was inclined to lay out, made contact with the hind quarters of CENTRELARINA and became unbalanced.
Over the final 200 metres BOOROONGA was inclined to lay in under pressure.
RACE 8
MAROOCHY RIVER HANDICAP 1400 metres
Rounding the home turn KADAZZLE was inconvenienced by BOB’S THE BOY which was taken out by WANCHAI LADY when that filly shifted out to improve.
All winners plus POETIC GARDEN (Race 6) were swabbed.
