After hearing evidence from T. Duckett and trainer G. Ryan, T. Duckett was charged with contravening AR 135(b) by failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures throughout the race to ensure that MISKARIMA was given full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible place in the field.
Stewards found that from inside the 200 metres until close to the winning post, T. Duckett restricted the momentum of MISKARIMA, and furthermore, stopped riding his mount near the 40 metres mark and failed to ride it out to the end of the race. T.
