RACE 1
POLLOCK INGRAM SOLICITORS HANDICAP 1800 metres
WE’RE RELATED and LORD STANLEY made heavy contact on jumping away.
RACE 2
TREVOR MILLER RACING STABLES HANDICAP 1400 metres
As S Shield was indisposed he was replaced on GET MOBILE by J. Hoopert.
LORETTA’S JOY was slow to begin.
GET MOBILE jumped in the air at the start and lost considerable ground.
Near the 200 metres FACE PAINT shifted out to improve and brushed PETE’S REVENGE.
RACE 3
S & D POWERLINE CONTRACTORS HANDICAP 1000 metres
As J. Overall was indisposed she was replaced on MISS QUALO by M. Rodd..
HARRY’S HAT was slow to begin.
ROARING COVE jumped out and made contact with the barrier partition.
BONBARA and BURAN BREEZE made contact on jumping away.
After jumping away awkwardly MISS QUALO shifted out abruptly.
After beginning awkwardly WICKED WONDA shifted out inconveniencing ALL ON JACK and REDOWER.
Approaching the 300 metres HARRY’S HAT shifted out and brushed BONBARA.
RACE 4
CALOUNDRA CRASH REPAIRS HANDICAP 1000 metres
Near the 700 metres AVAN RANCH shifted out and made contact with OCEANIC STAR.
A short distance later OCEANIC STAR shifted in and made heavy contact with AVAN RANCH which became unbalanced and lost considerable ground.
Near the 500 metres BALAKA shifted in and made heavy contact with the running rail.
At the 200 metres AVAN RANCH improved up on to the heels of OCEANIC STAR and had to be steadied.
RACE 5
CALOUNDRA RUGBY LEAGUE HANDICAP 1200 metres
QUICK PRINCE was slow to begin.
CAPANNELLE made the 800 metres turn awkwardly.
RACE 6
MARY HENZELL REAL ESTATE HANDICAP 1300 metres
SUN SCREEN and MASTER RAIDER were both slow to begin.

RACE 7
INCAMS HANDICAP 1300 metres
TONTEN and SHOW GOLD were both slow to begin.
Near the 900 metres DARTANYON had to be steadied off the heels of ST. ANTON which shifted in.
Apprentice M. Dracos rider of ST. ANTON was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.
RACE 8
FIRST CLASS FUNCTIONS HANDICAP 1400 metres
Due to an office error apprentice Y. Ota was not shown in the race book as the rider of CLASSIC KIWI LIP.
CIRCUS BOY and BRIDLE WARRIOR both jumped away awkwardly.
On jumping away SHOW GOLD was tightened for room between LIGHTHOUSE ROAD and FLYING FEET both of which shifted ground.
When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of SHOW GOLD jockey W. J. Cook stated that the gelding travelled well in the early and middle stages however when placed under pressure SHOW GOLD failed to respond.
All winners were swabbed.
