RACE 1
AMBASSADOR TRAVEL SERVICES HANDICAP 1800 metres
BUNDEENA BOY jumped away awkwardly.
From approaching the 1600 metres until near the 1200 metres TOLGA DAN was inclined to over race.
RACE 2
SUNSHINE COAST REALITY PTY LTD HANDICAP 1400 metres
SIDEKICK jumped away awkwardly hampering ROCKET RANGE.
Approaching the 800 metres ROCKET RANGE was inclined to over race and had to shift out to avoid the heels of SIDEKICK.
Approaching the 200 metres ROCKET RANGE shifted out under pressure and brushed BROWN DIRT COWBOY.
Approaching the 50 metres SIDEKICK had to be steadied off the heels of BROWN DIRT COWBOY which shifted in abruptly under pressure.
ITANIUM was inclined to shift out when placed under pressure in the straight.
RACE 3
NOOSA BLUE RESORT HANDICAP 1000 metres
BILL THE BOATMAN which became unruly behind the barriers prior to being loaded and made heavy contact with the fence was inspected by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to start.
DURAMBOI was slow to begin.
SIR TO YOU raced greenly for some distance after the start.
Rounding the home turn DURAMBOI had to be steadied off the heels of PADDY’S VENTURE which was taken in by SIR TO YOU.
Following the running of race 3 jockey J. Taylor was stood down by the Club Doctor and replaced as follows:

RACE 4
BLACKLAW CIVIL CONTRACTORS HANDICAP 1600 metres
The start was delayed when the pacifiers on SUPERSTEAM were damaged and had to be replaced.
SUPERSTEAM was slow to begin.
After passing the 800 metres SOVEREIGN FLAME shifted in and made contact with the running rail.
From after passing the 300 metres SUPERSTEAM was inclined to lay in placing its rider Michael Cahill at a disadvantage for the remainder of the event.

Following the running of race 4 jockey Michael Cahill was stood down by the Club Doctor and replaced as follows:

RACE 5
COSTAL EQUIPMENT SALES HANDICAP 1200 metres
KAILEY ANN jumped away awkwardly and made contact with CIARA.
CHAUDIE GIRL made the 800 metres turn awkwardly taking MOTABRO out on to IT’S GRAND forcing IT’S GRAND wider on the track..
After passing the 600 metres DRY MARTINI shifted out and made contact with PRINCESS PEARL.
Approaching the 500 metres DRY MARTINI had to be checked when tightened for room between ULTIMATUM which became unbalanced after making contact with the running rail and PRINCESS PEARL which shifted in slightly after receiving pressure from MOTABRO.
At the entrance to the straight PRINCESS PEARL shifted out abruptly to avoid the heels of STAR STRIKE forcing MOTABRO wider on the track.
MOTABRO and IT’S GRAND were forced to race wide throughout the event.
A post race Veterinary examination of KAILEY ANN revealed the mare had sustained an injury to the near front tendon.
RACE 6
KONICA SUNSHINE COAST HANDICAP 1200 metres
FRAMEWORTHY was slow to begin.
A post race Veterinary examination of FRAMEWORTHY failed to reveal any abnormality.
RACE 7
GRIGGS BUSINESS WORKS HANDICAP 1000 metres
STAGEWISE was declared a late scratching at 3.53pm when the gelding was unable to be loaded.
On the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on STAGEWISE were ordered to be refunded with deductions of 5c in the dollar on the face value of win bets and 6c in the dollar on the face value of place bets above the line being applicable.
Trainer Chris. Colley was advised a further barrier certificate must be obtained for STAGEWISE prior to its next race start.
After standing in the barriers for some WHIZCAT became fractious and acting on Veterinary advice the mare was also declared a late scratching at 3.55pm. On the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on WHIZCAT were ordered to be refunded with deductions of 30c in the dollar on the face value of win bets and 24c in the dollar on the face value of place bets being applicable.
Trainer Darren Bell was advised a warning has been placed on WHIZCAT relative to its barrier manners.
JUST COUNTY was slow to begin.
Approaching the 600 metres JUST COUNTY was inclined to lay out and did so for the remainder of the event.
Between the 600 metres and the 400 metres BUCKET OF VYNO made heavy contact with the running rail on several occasions.

RACE 8
CALOUNDRA INDOOR STADIUM HANDICAP 1600 metres
Trainer D. Newham was fined the sum of $100 for failing to declare GENTEEL BOY a late scratching by the required time. The gelding was subsequently withdrawn at 9.40am.
As apprentice M. McDonald was stood down by the Club Doctor he was replaced on LORD LARKSPUR by K. Yoshida.
Shortly after the start LORD MAYOR and SUPREME CHOICE were tightened for room between SMOOTH SOUND which shifted out and LORD LARKSPUR which shifted in slightly.
MR. ALERT was forced to race wide throughout the event.
All winners were swabbed.
