After entering the straight MOSHI MOSHI, when attempting a narrow run between SHEOAKS and MISS CICERAO, shifted in and made contact with the hind quarters of MISS CICERAO.
Stewards questioned jockey K. Pope in regard to the performance of SHEOAKS. K. Pope stated that the mare did not travel well throughout the event and dipped on a number of occasions of its own accord. K. Pope added that in his opinion SHEOAKS did not handle today's track conditions. The explanation was noted.
The Club's veterinary surgeon reported that SNEAK A KISS pulled up with mild respiratory distress.
RACE 2: GLENGARRY RACING CLUB JOIN NOW PLATE - 1400M
KISS AND FLY was slow to begin.
Approaching the 1200m DESTINY MAGIC, when being restrained, got its head up in the air for some distance and shifted in and made contact with PLATINUM HUSSY.
Approaching the 800m KISS AND FLY had to be steadied off the heels of DESTINY MAGIC.
Approaching the 600m DESTINY MAGIC shifted out and made contact with KISS AND FLY. A short distance later DESTINY MAGIC was buffeted for some distance by KISS AND FLY. At the same stage, WHERE'STHEBEERDEAR was taken out slightly by CENTUZA BOY which resulted in DESTINY MAGIC being checked off the heels of WHERE'STHEBEERDEAR. CORRIENTE, which was following, also had to be checked in this incident. M. Smith-Lester, the rider of KISS AND FLY, was reprimanded and reminded of his obligation to allow sufficient room to runners to his inside.
Stewards questioned K. Pope in regard to the disappointing performance of PLATINUM HUSSY. K. Pope stated that the filly travelled well until the home turn and when asked for an effort failed to respond to his riding. He further added that PLATINUM HUSSY was never comfortable in today's track conditions. The explanation was noted.
RACE 3: GLENGARRY RACING CLUB PH (07) 5467 1418 H'CAP - 1200M
OCEAN HAWK was a late scratching at 11.40 a.m. on veterinary advice.
On return to scale K. Pope, the rider of 3rd placegetter RAIZAIC, lodged an objection against CARATOLOGY being declared 2nd, alleging interference at the 100m and approaching the finishing line. After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the video, it was established that at the 100m CARATOLOGY shifted out abruptly taking the rightful running of RAIZAIC and forcing that runner wider on the track, and approaching the winning post again shifted out abruptly hampering RAIZAIC and therefore stewards upheld the objection and amended the Judge's placings to read:
1st THE TREE
2nd RAIZAIC
3rd CARATOLOGY
Although L. Appo had stopped riding on both occasions, stewards were of the opinion that he should have done so sooner than he did and a reprimand was issued in relation to the interference caused on the second occasion.
RAIZAIC was slow to jump.
Shortly after the start THE TREE and KOOL DAME were hampered between KILLER QUEEN, which shifted in, and HIGH BUCK, which shifted out. In this incident HIGH BUCK became unbalanced.
Approaching the 800m HIGH BUCK had to be steadied off the heels of KILLER QUEEN and shifted out taking KOOL DAME wider on the track.
THE TREE hung in for the majority of the straight and approaching the 75 metres shifted in and made contact with MONKEYPICKEN.
On returning to scale L. Appo, the rider of CARATOLOGY, was dislodged from his mount. L. Appo was examined by the Club's medical officer who reported that he had sustained an injury to his left knee and was stood down from his remaining engagement and was replaced by B. Calkin on EASTWEST WISDOM in Race 8.

RACE 8: www.glengarryracingclub.com.au H'CAP - 1000M
PUNNETS LANE jumped away awkwardly and shifted out making contact with MAID DANE.
After passing the 800m ATTEMOI had to be steadied between COUSY and PUNNETS LANE, both of which shifted ground. Jockey M. Deguara stated that after this incident ATTEMOI was reluctant to hold its position in the field and in his opinion failed to handle today's track conditions.
Passing the 250m BUCK'S SECRET had to be steadied between EASTWEST WISDOM and the tiring LASSUSIE which shifted out slightly.
As trainer L. Birchley was not in attendance at the meeting, stewards will question him at a later date in regard to the improved performance of COUSY compared to its last start in Rockhampton on 20 February.
