STEWARDS PANEL: Mr G Hargraves (Chairman), Mr W Moore, Mr D Collingwood, Mr G Ireland.

WEATHER - Overcast TRACK - Dead
RAIL - Out 8 metres for the entire circuit

GENERAL: As M Rodd was indisposed, the following replacements were approved:
Race 1: PERVIN K Purdy
Race 2: ITISISIT C Whiteley
Race 4: TACKMAN J Byrne
Race 6: SIMPLY WONDERFUL Z Purton
Race 7: NEDIYM'S IMAGE A Kennedy
Race 9: WITLACE S Galloway

As G Birrer was indisposed he was replaced on PRINGLE'S GIRL (Race 1) by K Pope.

RACE 1: LICENCEE'S ASSISTANCE ASSOCIATION HANDICAP - 1800M.

SARDAN was slow to begin.

LOPPER jumped away awkwardly.

PRINGLE'S GIRL jumped away awkwardly and made contact with the partition and soon after was bumped by PERVIN.

Soon after the start ART STUDENT shifted in taking NERRENA in on to PERVIN which became unbalanced.

Apprentice R Mason rider of MEDIA PLAYER was reprimanded for permitting her mount to shift in approaching the 1700 metres when not clear of HIDDEN JEWELS and STILL WATER both of which had to be steadied.

Approaching the 1600 metres NERRENA had to be steadied when tightened for room by PERVIN which shifted out and ART STUDENT which was laying in.

LOPPER was inclined to race ungenerously in the early stages of the event.

Near the 800 metres MEDIA PLAYER shifted in momentarily tightening the running of LOPPER.

HIDDEN JEWELS was inclined to lay in in the straight.

MUCH LIKADON and SARDAN both travelled wide throughout the event.

A post race Veterinary examination of STILL WATER revealed the filly to be lame in the near hind.

RACE 2: GARRYOWEN PARK MAIDEN PLATE - 1300M.

The start was delayed when JAROSLAV broke through the barriers and travelled a short distance. After being restrained JAROSLAV was inspected by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to start.

JAROSLAV was slow to begin.

TUSCAN SKY jumped away awkwardly and made contact with MIGHTY ILLUSION which then shifted in taking SALAZAR across the running of JAROSLAV which had to be checked.

Near the 1000 metres TUSCAN SKY was briefly tightened for room by AMOROOF which shifted in.

ITISISIT raced ungenerously in the early stages.

UNDONE raced wide in the early stages.

KOKONIE raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages of the event and was briefly held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

Approaching the 300 metresTUSCAN SKY had to be steadied when attempting a narrow run to the inside of AMOROOF.

Leaving the 300 metres HYPNOTISM was disappointed for a run between DINNA SADDLE and MISS SHARPSHOOTER which shifted in.

DINNA SADDLE raced ride throughout the event.


RACE 3: WEARING CARRYING COMPANY HANDICAP - 1400M.

TANAMI MISS jumped away awkwardly.

IRIS KIAP jumped in at the start and made contact with RISING SUCCESS.

IRIS KIAP over raced in the early stages of the event.

TANAMI MISS brushed the running rail near the 800 metres.

Approaching the 700 metres IRIS KIAP had to be steadied off the heels of SIMPLY RED.

Near the 600 metres TANAMI MISS had to be steadied off the heels of IRIS KIAP when attempting a narrow run.

Approaching the 200 metres RISING SUCCESS was bumped by SIMPLY RED which was taken in by COMMON KNOWLEDGE.

IRIS KIAP lost the off fore plate in running.





RACE 4: L. MERVYN FOX MEMORIAL HANDICAP - 1400M.

MAID DANE raced ungenerously in the early stages.

Rounding the home turn MAID DANE which was inclined to hang out, had to be checked off the heels of TED'S CHOICE.

SOBAI travelled wide throughout the event.

TACKMAN lost the off fore plate in running.

A post race Veterinary examination of MAID DANE revealed the mare to be lame in the off fore.

RACE 5: J.F. (JIM) MCGILL MEMORIAL HANDICAP - 1200M.

As apprentice B Wade was indisposed he was replaced on HOODED GEM by apprentice B Thomson.

Near the 900 metres FIRES OF IRELAND shifted out abruptly after making contact with AGGRO.

Rounding the 800 metres AGGRO had to be steadied off the heels of JAMELDEN when the pace slackened.

Over the concluding stages FIRES OF IRELAND was inconvenienced when tightened for room between HOODED GEM and LAUD ATLAS which shifted out.

Prior to the winning line LAUD ATLAS was held up behind CLANGER which shifted in.

RACE 6: QRSE JOE RICHARDS MENSWEAR HANDICAP - 1000M.

LION QUEEN attempted to rear as the gates opened and lost considerable ground.

HILDA CHOICE was slow to begin.

SIMPLY WONDERFUL and FELICITATE made heavy contact on jumping.

When tiring soon after straightening SILICA was tightened for room between ALL OZZIE which shifted in momentarily and SIMPLY WONDERFUL which shifted out.

Rounding the home turn MOCCABRAUN was momentarily held up for clear running.

ALL OZZIE travelled wide throughout.

LION QUEEN lost the near fore plate in running.

M McDonald rider of 2nd placed FELICITATE was reprimanded for weighing in in excess of 1/2kg overweight.

RACE 7: WANLESS WASTECORP QTIS HANDICAP - 1400M.

Rounding the home turn KAWENDE shifted out and briefly tightened the running of MISS GLORYHUNTER.

ARGENTERIE was obliged to travel wide throughout.

RACE 8: QUEENSLAND RACEHORSE OWNERS ASSOCIATION HANDICAP - 1800M.

SUMMER CLANG and KENMONT both jumped away awkwardly.

CANNY CRUISE over raced in the middle stages and refused to settle.

FASCINATIONS travelled wide throughout.

Passing the 600 metres MOOKFREUX improved up on to the heels of GOLD KING clipped that horses heels and blundered badly.

JUST BROWSING was held up for clear running leaving the 500 metres.

Rounding the home turn GOLD KING shifted out taking SNOWY WEATHER wider on the track.

Near the 300 metres TUOTHA was disappointed for a run between GOLD STARS and SUMMER CLANG which shifted in.

Near the 200 metres TUOTHA had difficulty obtaining clear running and when attempting a narrow run between GOLD STARS and SUMMER CLANG, TUOTHA shifted out and brushed SUMMER CLANG.

Near the 100 metres TUOTHA was again disappointed for a run between GOLD STARS and CANNY CRUISE which shifted in. TUOTHA subsequently had to shift out abruptly to obtain clear running.

RACE 9: GREG GRANT SADDLERY HANDICAP - 1000M.

LOUD BLUE, NEVER SO FAIR, WOODIDIERE and DUALINER were all slow to begin.

Passing the 800 metres LIGHT THE PIPE had to be steadied when briefly tightened for room by VOLCANIC ANGEL which shifted in.

Approaching the 700 metres WITLACE had to be steadied off the heels of VOLCANIC ANGEL which shifted out.

WITLACE which raced ungenerously in the middle stages, had to be steadied off the heels of VOLCANIC ANGEL near the 500 metres and was inclined to lay in in the home straight.

Rounding the home turn LIGHT THE PIPE was held up for clear running.

VOLCANIC ANGEL lost the off fore plate in running.





All winners were sent to be swabbed.
