Race 1: Sign Business Plate 3yo & Up Maiden - 1400m.
1st - Triple Time 2nd - Waterford Princess 3rd - Forever Bill 4th - Bay Of

The start was delayed when WATERFORD PRINCESS required the attention of the farrier.

FOREVER BILL was slow to begin.

BAY OF SECRETS was also slow into stride.

GREY SANTA jumped outwards at the start.

THE GREAT I AM led in the early stages, however was unable to handle the heavy going and compounded at the entrance to the straight.


Race 2: BSG Australia Maiden H'cap - 1000m.
1st - Kalinga Teagan 2nd - Turf Raider 3rd - Sequalo Son Rises 4th - Black Maloo

Due to a misunderstanding between trainer A. Durrington and the SCTC, NORTHICK was not scratched by the prescribed time and was subsequently declared a late scratching at 12.48 p.m.. Subsequent to the event, all monies invested on NORTHICK were ordered to be refunded, with deductions of 4 cents in the dollar on the face value of win best, 5 cents in the dollar on the face value of place bets, applicable to successful wagers placed prior to the withdrawal time.

MS FUNKYCOLEMADINA, which galloped for a short distance after leaving the enclosure to parade, was subsequently recaptured, examined by the club's veterinary surgeon and passed fit to start.

Trainer D. Bell was advised that COTA WARIBL, which was fractious in the barriers, would be required to pass a further barrier test prior to its next race start.

BLACK MALOO was slow to begin and had to be eased when MS FUNKYCOLEMADINA shifted in at the start.

SEQUALO SON RISES was slow to begin.

RED DEB had to be eased off the heels of COTA WARIBL, which shifted in when racing erratically near the 600m..

TURF RAIDER rolled in and brushed KALINGA TEAGAN near the 200m., and approaching the winning post TURF RAIDER was inclined to hang out.


Race 3: QRSE Terry's Seafoods Class 2 H'cap - 1000m.
1st - Lassusie 2nd - Jade City 3rd - Battler 4th - Desert Finch

Trainer L. Erhart was fined the sum of $100 for failing to declare a rider for MAY THUNDER by the prescribed time.

VASSPOUR jumped outwards at the start and hampered JADE CITY.

Approaching the course proper, JADE CITY, which was racing erratically, rolled in, resulting in VASSPOUR having to be checked.

At the 200m., JADE CITY again raced erratically and shifted out, brushing BULL BLINCO.


Race 4: Card Services Australia QTIS 3yo Class 6 H'cap - 1400m.
1st - Sea Drive 2nd - Sequalo Fair 3rd - Merry Pierce 4th - Special Que

Stable foreman Mr I. Crittendenden was fined the sum of $250 after being found guilty of a charge under AR175(j) for improper conduct.

SOCIAL GATHERING jumped inwards at the start, bumping SEA DRIVE.

SEQUALO FAIR and SEA DRIVE made contact near the 600m..

SPECIAL QUE, when angling out to take a run on the home turn, made contact with MR HORNBLOWER, which was losing ground.




Race 5: Suncoast Smallgoods Class 1 H'cap - 1200m.
1st - Stood Up 2nd - Count Ivor 3rd - Road Lover 4th - Half Carat

Trainer R. Litton was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for MISS STRONGHOLD by the prescribed time.

M. Rice was dislodged from MISS LEHAAR when proceeding to the barriers. MISS LEHAAR was examined by the club's veterinary surgeon and passed to start.

At the start, MISS LEHAAR and MISTER SUCCESS were slow to begin.

MISS STRONGHOLD shifted out at the 1000m., making contact with STOOD UP.


Race 6: QRSE Mix FM Open H'cap - 1600m.
1st - Maizcay Magic 2nd - Cold Start 3rd - Carlton Bru 4th - Sea Artist

SEA ARTIST jumped inwards at the start, making contact with COLD START, which was slow to begin.

GLADMAC was slow to begin, then commenced to overrace and had to be eased off the heels of SESEMANN after travelling 100m..

Approaching the 1000m., CARLTON BRU shifted out to avoid the heels of MAY ROYAL, making contact with KINGCIDON, which was forced wider on the track.

A post-race veterinary examination of MAY ROYAL revealed the gelding to have pulled up distressed.


Race 7: Caloundra RSL Class 3 H'cap - 1400m.
1st - Aiden James 2nd - Duke Sam 3rd - Waikato 4th - Collared

The start was delayed when COLLARED sprung a plate and had to be reshod.

BREEZY PATH was fractious in the barriers and was slow to begin.

AIDEN JAMES knuckled over at the start.

M. Cant, rider of AIDAN JAMES, was reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift in at the 250m., causing VILLOSA to be eased.


Race 8: Romas Foods Supplies Class 1 H'cap - 1600m.
1st - Octone 2nd - Initial Star 3rd - Schneiden 4th - Regal Secret

Due to transport difficulties, B. Johnson was unable to fulfil his engagement on FLYING DEVIL and was replaced by G. Farrer

REGAL SECRET was slow to begin, and then had to be eased off the heels of SCHNEIDEN soon after the start.

GIDDYUP GIRL was slow into stride.

After travelling a short distance, STAMUS PRO HONNEUR was tightened for room between FLYING DEVIL and YANKEE CHARM, which was taken out by AWESOME DISPLAY.

AWESOME DISPLAY began to overrace after travelling 100m. and had to be eased off runners in front.

OFFICE GOSSIP began to lose ground on the home turn and tailed off.

INITIAL STAR shifted out under hard riding at the 50m., forcing SCHNEIDEN and REGAL SECRET wider.

ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED
