GENERAL

Licensed stablehand Belinda Ross was reprimanded for improper behaviour in the saddling enclosure prior to Race 1.

Race 1: Corona Ratings Band 0-62 H'cap – 2200m

PAPA’S GOTHIC – Jumped away awkwardly and made contact with another runner. Steadied near the 1300m when the pace steadied and shifted wider on the track and ridden forward to take up a position outside the lead near the 1000m.

COUNT ROMANO – Inconvenienced by another runner on jumping away.

JUST TAKE IT – Overraced during the middle stages. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

DAZZLING KNIGHT – Tightened for room near the 500m and lost ground when racing in restricted room.

TRY FOUR – Changed stride and shifted out, inconveniencing another runner near the 500m.

Race 2: Hahn Super Dry 3.5 Class 4 H'cap – 1600m

DAISYODEE – Raced wide throughout.
Race 3: Steve Venn (Century 21 Coastal) Class 3 Plate – 1000

MENANCING – Jumped away awkwardly and made contact with another runner.

PEZENAS – Inconvenienced on jumping away. Laid in under pressure near the 200m despite the efforts of its rider, causing interference to other runners.

CHOOSE A SAGA – Tightened for room and restrained near the 200m. Rider D. Browne was asked to comment on the performance of the horse. He indicted at no stage did his mount travel comfortably despite having a favourable position just behind the lead, and when asked for an effort rounding the home turn, the gelding commenced to hang in and did not respond as anticipated, and he could offer no further excuse for the disappointing performance.

MY BLING- Tightened for room and restrained near the 200m.


Race 4: XXXX Summer Bright CG&E Class 1 H'cap – 1200m

UMASAGA – Suffered a laceration to the off hind leg en route to the track . A veterinary examination cleared the gelding to take its place in the field. Overraced in the early stages.

TAZI ARAZI – Began awkwardly. Overraced during the early stages and had to be restrained from heels near the 900m and again near the 700m.

THOMAS THE WELSH – Overraced in the early stages.

DELNIELLO – Obliged to steady and alter course when disappointed for a run near the 400m.

ENDOY – Rider M. Hellyer reported his mount laid out throughout the race.

BOLD ASSIGNMENT – Rider G. Goold reported his mount felt awkward in its action. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.


Race 5: Sea Vista Developments F&M Class 1 H'cap – 1200m

SCORPION PRINCESS – Slow to begin.

BAMBINO CLEMENTINE – Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.

MOONLIGHT DANCER – Slow to begin.

SMALL TALK – Inconvenienced on jumping away.

NORDIC STORY – Jumped away awkwardly and made contact with another runner. Overraced in the early and middle stages. He difficulty obtaining clear running rounding the home turn and until the 200m.

SPINIFEX FIRE – Overraced in the middle stages and after leaving the 600m had to be checked from heels.

ORATRY – Raced wide without cover.

Race 6: James Squire Maiden Plate – 1300m

KARIEGA – Slow to begin. Rider D. Browne was reprimanded for using his more than 5 times prior to the 100m.

SLICK GETAWAY – Tightened for room on jumping away.

THE FENCER – Overraced in the early stages and had to be restrained from heels near the 900m.

MR FANTASTIC – Laid in under pressure whilst weakening in the home straight.

ZARACHA – Overraced for a short distance leaving the 1000m. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

NICELY NICELY – Obliged to alter course to obtain clear running near the 200m.

STAR AMORE – Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages, causing the rider to stop riding and straighten.

EUCHRE KING – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
