STEWARDS REPORT – SATURDAY 19TH OCTOBER 2002

STEWARDS PANEL: AGC McDonald (Chairman), G Meek

WEATHER –Fine. TRACK – Sand/Good

RACE 1: MAIDEN H'CAP – 1100 METRES (6 STARTERS)
As the start was affected RODWAY LAN (D Rewald) reared forward and lost approximately one length. PANDALDER (F Okawa) ran wide on the 400 metre home turn and continued in this position for the remainder of the race.

RACE 2: CLASS 4 H'CAP – 1100 METRES (6 STARTERS)
At the jump SALIENT PRINCE (W Bell) threw its head in the air and failed to gain early momentum. No other racing incidents to report.

RACE 3: OPEN H'CAP - 1400 METRES (4 STARTERS)
BRIAR’S ARMY (D Rewald) was slow to muster early speed out of the barriers.

RACE 4: CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1200 METRES (6 STARTERS)
KWILA’S MISS (N Coyne) dwelt at the start and lost ground.

RACE 5: CLASS 6 H'CAP – 1000 METRES (4 STARTERS)
LENIENCY (E Hooper) jumped sideways causing jockey E Hooper’s arm to hit the gates. The horse then veered out onto BAY WATCH BABE (D Rewald), which jumped from the adjacent gate.


BOOKMAKERS – 2 Bookmakers fielded at the race meeting.
