Race 5 YOUTHFUL LODGER D Hutchins
WEATHER – FINE TRACK – GOOD RAIL – TRUE

RACE 1: FORMOSA DOWNS & PRIMAC ELDERS MAIDEN PLATE – 800m

ANCA INDE was inclined to hang out from the 750m, causing Jockey D Hutchins to lose his iron. ANCA INDE continued to hang out taking JEWEL OF NEDIYM wide on the home turn. Connections of ANCA INDE were advised that the gelding would be required to barrier trial prior to next start.

RACE 2: SHUBERTS & SUCORP METWAY CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1000m

Prior to correct weight, a protest was lodged by the rider of the second placegetter LUCKY EYES, against the winner ADAM’S ANT, alleging interference leaving the 800m. After taking evidence from both riders, connections and viewing the patrol film, the protest was dimissed after it was found that although there had been contact between the runners it was not sufficant to reverse the placing and correct weight was given.

Approaching the 750m, AS FULL AS commenced to over race clipping the heels of LUCKY EYES.

RACE 3: MOSAIC OIL SURAT CUP CLASS 3 H'CAP – 1400m

As TEXAS BLUES (NZ) failed to arrive on course the mare was declared a late scratching and deductions of 7c win and 8c place were ordered.

Both DASHERS GIRL and ELEGANT CHOICE were slowly into stride.

HELEN’S BROTHER was held up for clear running making the home turn and shifted in over the concluding stages hampering AURUKUN.

RACE 4: WARROO SHIRE COUNCIL CENTENARY OPEN H'CAP – 1400m

ALESSI shifted in at the 800m hampering NIGHT EYES.

Leaving the 150m, RISING ROYAL shifted out under heavy riding making contact with SLEEPY POET.

RACE 5: WATTLE BRAE STUD & NEW ROYAL HOTEL CLASS 5 H'CAP – 1200m

MINSTRELLA was slowly into stride.

BELLE SHY shifted out over the concluding stages making contact with MR CHRISTEN.
