RACE 1 AGL ENERGY CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1200M
1st Team Thunderstone 2nd Love A Sequalo 3rd Military Way 4th I’ll Rule

LOVE A SEQUALO (P Spry) jumped awkwardly.

Approaching the 800m MONTE PEGASUS (A Smith) hung out and made contact with KAMADIVA.

At the 600m I’LL RULE (N Ogura) was forced to ease off the heels of ONE EYED (C Bryen) when that gelding was losing ground. I’LL RULE was then held up for clear running for the entire straight.

VALLEY MOON (M O’Brien) returned to the enclosure lame. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed that mare to have strained her off fore suspensory tendon. Stewards advised trainer S Burns that a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required for VALLEY MOON prior to racing again.

Upon return to the mounting enclosure BIGGA ‘N’ BETTA (R Ride) was observed by the veterinary surgeon to be stepping short. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed that gelding to have jarred up on the dirt track today.

RACE 3 SURAT DIGGERS’ CUP CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1400M
1ST I Love Tobouggie 2ND Angel From Above 3RD Golden Hut 4TH Bernaeioe

Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards considered a protest lodged by the 2nd placed ANGEL FROM ABOVE (M O’Brien) against the 1st placed I LOVE TOBOUGGIE (R Ride) alleging interference near the 200m. After taking evidence Stewards agreed that there was a shift from the winner however they we not convinced the ground lost in that incident exceeded the margin between the two horses and dismissed the protest.
