TOWER HILL PICNIC AMATEUR RACE CLUB INC STEWARDS REPORT FRIDAY 13/6/03

STEWARDS PANEL: CJ WATERS (CHAIRMAN);

WEATHER – FINE TRACK – FAST & DUSTY RAIL – N/A

GENERAL: The following horses were scratched on veterinary advice after the final declaration of acceptances: Race 1 – MONJANNIC; Race 5 – STAGGER HOME.

RACE 1: MAIDEN HANDICAP – 800 METRES 4 Starters

CREOLASCA hung outwards for almost the entire race and finished very wide on the track in the home straight.

RACE 2: CLASS D HANDICAP – 1000 METRES 6 Starters

PRISSY’S CHARM was slow away.

RACE 3: RESTRICTED TROPHY (3) HANDICAP – 800 METRES 7 Starters

No reportable racing incidents in running.

RACE 4: CLASS D HANDICAP – 800 METRES 7 Starters

GOLD SOUK was slow away.

RACE 5: OPEN TROPHY HANDICAP – 1400 METRES 7 Starters

HISTORICAL was very slow into stride and then raced very ungenerously in the early and middle stages of the event.

RACE 6: OPEN TROPHY HANDICAP – 800 METRES 7 Starters

Both SEAFORD and MODEL WALKER were very slow into stride when a start was effected. Approaching the 150 metre mark JET SADAR had difficulty in obtaining a clear run.

RACE 7: CLASS D HANDICAP – 1000 METRES 7 Starters

Both GOODBYE CHIEF and CAPITAL POOL were very slow away.

RACE 8 : OPEN TROPHY HANDICAP – 1000 METRES 7 Starters

COUNT RUSH was very fractious at the starting point prior to the event.



GENERAL: No bookmakers fielded at the meeting.

NO SWABBING WAS CONDUCTED AT THE MEETING.
