GENERAL: Re-Handicaps for horses winning the previous day. Race 2 – Welsh Gem – weight adjusted to 68.5kg; Race 3 – Time Flies – weight adjusted to 68kg; Race 4 – C’mon Dad – weight adjusted to 71kg; Race 5 – Calais Dancer – weight adjusted to 72kg; Race 6 – Goodbye Chief – weight adjusted to 71.5kg; Semi Disco – weight adjusted to 68.5kg; Race 8 – Our New Toy – weight adjusted to 68kg.
RACE 1: MAIDEN HANDICAP – 800 METRES 5 Starters
MONJANNIC was passed fit to start after an examination by the Club Veterinary Surgeon. No reportable racing incidents.
RACE 2: RESTRICTED TROPHY (3) HANDICAP - 1000 METRES 7 Starters
CHRISOM lost considerable ground at the start when the horse shifted in sharply making heavy contact with the marker peg.
RACE 3: CLASS D HANDICAP: DIVISION 1 – 1000 METRES 6 Starters
TIME FLIES proved very difficult to get to the starting point and needed the assistance of the Clerk of the Course, thus delaying the event. No reportable racing incidents in running.
RACE 4: CLASS D HANDICAP: DIVISION 2 – 1000 METRES 5 Starters
GOLD SOUK was a late scratching from this event by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice, after the horse became very unruly in the saddling enclosure and became entangled in the fence. C’MON DAD was a fraction slow into stride.
