Race 1 Maiden Handicap - 1000 Metres – 6 Starters
LADY COME HOME (P Allen) slowly away. Shortly after the start EXCLUSIVE ZING (R Tilley) commenced to buck and was pulled up. Trainer S Iverson was advised that EXCLUSIVE ZING would be required to pass barrier trial prior to being raced again. Jockey G Peacock was fined $25 for failing to secure his helmet after mounting.
Race 2 Class 3 Handicap - 1000 Metres - 7 Starters
SCOTTISH LULLABY (R McMaster ) jumped awkwardly and lost ground..
Race 3 Open Handicap - 1000 Metros - 9 Starters
C Baker replaced O Galea on JUDGED ACCORDINGLY. O Galea fined $100 for taking a ride for which he could not make the weight.
Race 4 C G Lewis Memorial Open Handicap - 1800 Metres- 6 Starters
As the gates opened SHALELEH refused to jump losing considerable ground. T Austin admitted to riding a poorly judged race on NOBLE RESPONSE. Stewards took no action in the matter. Apprentice P Allen (FUNAMENTO) and his master C Prow was brought before the stewards over what was considered a badly judged ride. C Prow was in full agreement with the stewards. No further action was taken.

Race 5 Class 4 Handicap - 1200 Metres - 7 Starters
Trainer N O’Toole fined $25 for failing to declare rider on COPPER TOP.

Race 6 Class 2 Handicap - 1400 Metres - 10 Starters
Jockey O Galea fined $100 for taking a mount for which he could not make the weight. As no other jockey was available he was permitted to ride REDALDO 2.5kg overweight. MR. IVORY WAY (D Rewald) was pulling hard at about the 800m and rolled in striking the fence.

Routine swab samples taken from all winners.
