RACE: 1. Grand Chance ( W Glass) 6/1 fractious in barrier, suffered lacerations to the near hind leg, was a late scratching at 1:10pm. Deductions of 14 cents in the win and 13 cents in the place, face value of ticket. All money on Grand Chance to be refunded. Trainer K Alldridge was advised that a vet certificate would be required before re-nominating. Koudazah (C Spry) hung out for entire of race. Time off 1:13pm.
RACE: 2. Misprint in the prize money in race book, the secretary was advised. Blazing Cheyenne (L Karklis) slow away. Perro’s Light (K Banks) jump out making contact with Sir Kwila (C Schumacher) at the start. Sir Kwila (C Schumacher) made home turn wide. At approx 600 m Shy Tycoon (B Carne) had to be steadied out of race at pulled up lame in off fore fetlock, later had to be put down by vet. Due to the vet having to assist with Shy Tycoon and having to put the horse down he was unable to do any swab for this race. Time off 1:50pm
RACE: 3. Bali Star (W Glass) slow away and made 500m turn wide. Akaaber’s Dream (J Lait) traveled wide in the early stages of race. Time off 225pm.
RACE: 4. Lady Karajan (B Carne ) shifted out over concluding stages of race, no inconvenience to any other runner. Time off 3:00pm.
RACE: 5. Kala’s Hope (J Lait) slow away. Smoochie Smooch (M Sharpley) made home turn wide. Time off 3:30pm.
RACE: 6. D Tarrent was indisposed and replaced by T Watson on Belle of Sheba. Belle of Sheba hit her head on the tie-up stalls, received stitches to the head and was scratched on vet’s advice at 3:10pm. Trainer D Gollan’s representative was advised that a vet certificate would be required before re-nominating. Acorn Son (W Glass) and Broken Tooth (J Starr) were slowly away. Cynara (B Carne) was inclined to lay in over the concluding stages of race, no inconvenience to any other runner. Time off 4:05pm.
All winners were swabbed bar Race 2.
