General:
Apprentice Kennedy was unable to fulfil her riding engagements due to illness. Riding changes made as per Stewards summary. Apprentice S Kennedy must provide a medical certificate prior to her next riding engagements.

Race 1: Members QTIS Two-Year Old Maiden Handicap- 1075 metres
1st LOUISA’S DREAM 2nd GASPARA 3rd VERY GENTLE 4th- GONE FISSION
BACK TO WIN was a late scratching due to a stone bruise
VERY GENTLE (App F Freihaut) raced ungenerously in the middle stages.
Prior to correct weight being declared Jockey M Cant requested to view the films over the concluding stages of the event. After viewing the films Jockey M Cant lodged a protest against LOUISA’S DREAM (S Sheargold) for alleged interference over the final 100m.
After hearing the rider’s submissions and viewing the patrol films it was established LOUISA’S DREAM had shifted in slightly under pressure making contact with GASPARA (M Cant) over the concluding stages of the event. Stewards were of the opinion that the interference suffered did not materially affect the placings. The objection was dismissed and correct weight was then declared. Jockey S Sheargold was reminded off his obligations to keep his mount straight.
In this incident GONE FISSION (I Coombes) was placed in restricted room over the concluding stages.
Race 2: Patrons Maiden Plate - 1075 metres
1st GIVE IM ZA 2nd WRIGHTY 3rd DOUBLE TOP 4th- AMANDAS DREAM
BEEPEE and CRAIGLEA BARKLY were both late scratchings due to no riders being available.
Trainer N King was late in declaring a rider for MIA GEORGINA. Stewards accepted her explanation.
DIVINE PROPHECY (M Cant) and MIA GEORGINA (M Barnham) both jumped awkwardly.
Shortly after the start DIVINE PROPHECY shifted out and bumped MIA GEORDINA.
WRIGHTY (App K Gates) raced wide throughout.
DISLOCATOR (App F Freihaut) began to hang out at the 800m and raced wide for the remainder of the event.
HEMBRA (S Sheargold) and DIVINE PROPHECY over-raced in the middle stages.
Race 3: Jambin Hotel Open Handicap- 1075 metres
1st– COLUMATE 2nd – DINERO RAPIDO 3rd WHARTON WILLIE 4th- GENERAL NONSENSE
FIRE HAZARD was a late scratching due to no rider being available.
Trainer N King was late in declaring a rider for BEST PUPIL. Stewards accepted her explanation.
CERTAIN CIRCLES (App F Freihaut) was slow away.
DINERO RAPIDO (I Coombes) raced wide in the early and middle stages.
Near the 400m GENERAL NONSENSE (S Sheargold) improved up onto the heels of WHARTON WILLIE (M Barnham) and had to be steadied.
When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of REGAL MOUNTAIN J Stephens stated that his mount did not appreciate the grass surface and when his mount was placed under pressure the gelding failed to respond under his big weight. He further stated that the gelding races better on sand surfaces.
Jockey M Cant reported that GOLD WAR felt as though he was suffering from a respiratory problem. A veterinary inspection revealed that the horse was slow to recover. Trainer L Hansen was advised by the Veterinary Surgeon to seek further testing. Stewards will followup the results from further tests carried out and a vets certificate must be provided prior to the geldings next start.
Race 4: Lee Cran Hire Class 3 Plate- 1200 metres
1st CLUB FUGAZI 2nd DANE RHYTHM 3rd ORMOND ROAD 4th – NEW YORK BAY
ZIGGY ZARIZ (App K Gates) dislodged the rider prior to the start. App K Gates was inspected by the Ambulance Officers was unable to fulfil her engagement. A full examination subsequent to the race was performed and cleared App K Gates to fulfil her remaining engagements.
At approximately 200m Jockey M Cant dropped his whip.
Race 5: Hotel Thangool Class B Handicap- 1400 metres
1st SUMMERSLITTLEANGEL 2nd FLASH OF KINTYRE 3rd JOE KWILA 4th- BELLA PRINCIPESSA
CRAIGLEA ROSE was a late scratching due to no rider being available.
At approximately the 1300m TALISMANS LUCK (M Cant) shifted in and placed BELLA PRINCIPESSA (R Hall) in restricted racing room. Jockey M Cant was reminded of his obligations to keep his mount straight and to allow sufficient room to his fellow riders.
When TALISMANS LUCK eased the pace nearing the 900m JOE KWILA (J Stephens) improved on to the heels and had to be steadied.
Race 6: The Photo Centre Class 2 Handicap- 800 metres
1st REECES COMET 2nd MONTE STARLIGHT 3rd TRIPLE DALMARY 4th- BAMBINO MISS
FASTPEONY and RED SEA were both late scratchings due to no riders being available.
BAMBINO MISS (App F Freihaut), PUSSY LALA (M Cant) and NINEDAYFORTNIGHT (J Stephens) jumped awkwardly.
Shortly after the start BAMBINO MISS shifted out and bumped NINEDAYFORTHNIGHT.
Nearing the 450m MAD ACTION (I Coombes) raced ungenerously and shifted out slightly bumping BAMBINO MISS.
NINEDAYFORTNIGHT commenced to hang out (at approximately 250m).
TRIPLE DALMARY (R Hall) shifted in and bumped BAMBINO MISS (at approximately 200m).
NINEDAYFORTNIGHT shifted in slightly and bumped NEVACANTEL (App K Gates) (at approximately 100m).
MONTE STARLIGHT (M Barnham) was inclined to lay in over concluding stages.
