Race 1: First Grade Contract Maintenance BM 60 Handicap- 1075 metres
1st – TUNING 2nd –WILLYWYNYA 3rd – JUST DO SOMETHING 4th- VOLTURNUS
The explanation for the late declaration of D. McMaster for SPOOKY MOO was accepted.
Due to no other available riders, M. Barnham was permitted to ride one kilogram overweight on TUNING.
GUILETTA (M. Abe) was slow into stride and raced wide for the majority of the race.
The barrier of VOLTURNUS (J. King) was slow to open. This barrier was not used for the remainder of the day.
Near the 800 metres, HEAVEN AND EARTH (S. McGovern) eased when ME FAST TOO (App N Ogura) shifted in slightly.
Jockey D McMaster (SPOOKY MOO) lost the use of her near side iron near the 300 and was able to recover it near the 100 metres.
Race 2: Vanderbergh Constructions Maiden Plate - 1200 metres
1st –RUN ‘EM RAGGED 2nd – AMAZZLER 3rd – BLUEBERRY WINE 4th – LA DINGALING
Due to no other suitable rider, M Barnham elected to ride and was permitted to do so one and half kilograms overweight on LA DINGALING.
Jockey C Pye was issued with a direction to remain in close proximity to the barriers prior to loading.
SHARDAROBA (M Abe) began awkwardly and was further hampered when TOP MANNER (S. McGovern) jumped outwards.
SPANISH MAIDEN (S. Sheargold) was slow to begin and bounded in the air.
BLUEBERRY WINE (C. Pye), which was standing awkwardly, jumped in.
Near the 800 metres, LA DINGALING and BLUEBERRY WINE hung out.
Near the 200 metres, SPANISH MAIDEN lay in behind LA DINGALING.
BLUEBERRY WINE raced three wide throughout, and LA DINGALING and JACKSON MAGIC (J. King) raced wide throughout.
Apprentice S Chan was reprimanded for his celebratory gesture prior to the winning post.
Race 3: Howard Helicopters BM 65 Handicap - 1400 metres
1st – COCO DUBAWI 2nd –FADED 3rd – THEFORCEBEWITHYOU 4th – STREETFIRE
Permission was given for M Barnham to ride STREETFIRE one and half kilograms overweight.
SIX OF HEARTS (C. Pye) began awkwardly.
JUST FOR KEEPS (App N Ogura) was slow into stride.
From near the 400 metres to the 250 metres, RYTARGA (J. King) was awkwardly placed in restricted room when racing to the inside of FADED (S. Sheargold)
Race 4: Get Your Bounce On/Show Us Your Smile Photo Booth Hire Class B -1600 metres
1st – THE PANTZ 2nd – BLOOMSDAY 3rd – NO RISQUE 4th – BOSS HUSSLER
The explanation for the late declaration of D. McMaster for BELLA BEIJING was accepted.
When no other rider was available, Apprentice J King was permitted to ride HAYYLER’S HELL two kilograms overweight.
BELLA BEIJING (D. McMaster) and MASTER VINNIE (App S Chan) were slow to begin.
MASTER VINNIE raced wide throughout.
When questioned regarding the performance of MIDNIGHT STALKER, Jockey S Sheargold stated he had been unable maintain cover on the gelding in the early stages and as a result the gelding had over-raced throughout.
