Rail: Out 4.5 metres from the.1000 to the home turn, 3 metres in the straight and 2
metres the remainder.

RACE 1 CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1645 METRES 7 STARTERS
Trainer J Ramsden (Snr) was fined $25 for presenting CHELLE’S PRIDE to race without a crossover noseband. Local Rule 82 (2). No racing incidents.

RACE 2 2YO HANDICAP 1200 METRES 12 STARTERS
MIGHT ROAD, SOVEREIGN ROAD, LITTLE RICHE and HAPPY HORSE were all slow to begin. At the 600 metres NUBRICK (B Somerville) shifted in crowding BENTLEY EXPRESS and LITTLE RICHIE. Jockey B Somerville was reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift ground at that point. AR 137 (a).

RACE 3 CLASS 6 HANDICAP 1000 METRES 7 STARTERS
SPLENDID SOLACE and INNUENDO were both slow to begin. After shifting out under pressure at the 200 metres SPLENDID SOLACE commenced to shift back in shortly afterwards resulting in INNUENDO having to be steadied as a consequence. Jockey J Stopps (SPLENDID SOLACE) was advised to exercise care in similar circumstances.

RACE 4 MAIDEN HANDICAP 1400 METRES 13 STARTERS
DR NEMESIS jumped out taking GO RUBEN out on to INDIVIDUALIST. MADAME MURRAY raced greenly in the early and middle stages of the event. BIT ON THE SIDE was momentarily held up for clear running making the home turn. ROADS END shifted out and made contact with HOPE FLOATS at the 200 metres.

RACE 5 OPEN HANDICAP 1200 METRES 14 STARTERS
BOLD PLAY jumped out at the start hampering TONCETTO. Approaching the first turn SETO ROYAL shifted in and away from ICON PRINCE and as a consequence CINNAMON COVE was taken in on to STAN and HICKEYPICKER which were both checked. At the 700 metres BOLD REGENT was steadied off the heels of SETO ROYAL. At the 600 metres STAN hung out across the heels of SALTASH CASTLE. Approaching the 250 metre mark CINNAMON COVE was disappointed for a run between BE MY LOVE and BOLD PLAY. Whilst Stewards considered that there was insufficient room for CINNAMON COVE to obtain a run to the outside of the heels of BOLD PLAY Jockey G Kliese (BOLD PLAY) was nonetheless reprimanded for allowing his horse to shift out at that point.

RACE 6 CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1200 METRES 8 STARTERS
BOYER had a tendency to hang out in running. BLUEY was momentarily held up for clear running in the early stages of the straight.

RACE 7 CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200 METRES 14 STARTERS
OUR RAINMAKER jumped out and collided with BLUEDANU. At the 1050 metre mark BROTHER shifted in resulting in BLUE GALAXY clipping the heels of BROTHER. Both RAVING and SEA LOVER were checked when BLUE GALAXY shifted out as a consequence jockey R Gallacher (BROTHER) was charged with contravening AR 137 (a) by riding in a careless manner at that point by allowing his mount to shift in when not clear of BLUE GALAXY. After considering all the evidence and from the Stewards’ observation Jockey R Gallacher was granted the benefit of a grave doubt to whether he had allowed sufficient clearance to BLUE GALAXY. Stewards found that BLUE GALAXY had hung out marginally which contributed to the incident. DANCE THE HEIGHTS which was racing greenly struck the fence of its own accord and lost ground at the 1000 metre mark. At the 900 metre mark BROTHER shifted in abruptly resulting in CALL ME BUCK being checked. Approaching the 600 metres CALL ME BUCK was again checked when tightened for room by RAVING which was taken in by MR EVERCLEAR. The Stewards could not apportion any blame to any particular rider in relation to this incident.
