Race 1: Easter Egg Maiden Handicap – 1630 metres
1st - ACADEMY BOY 2nd – MOET DIVA 3rd – FORSAKEN LIFESTYLE 4th – CANNY DODGE

ACADEMY BOY (I. Fry) was slow to get into stride.

PHOTOMETRY (J. Long) made the turn at the 1400 metres awkwardly and raced wider on the track.

At about the 1300 metres FORSAKEN LIFESTYLE (I. Toward) over-raced and got its head up for a number of strides.

In the straight PHOTOMETRY (J. Long) was inclined to lay out under pressure.

Race 2: Happy Easter Class 4 Handicap - 1630 metres
1st - FREMANTLE DOCTOR 2nd – WHYDINYA 3rd – MAKE MUSIC 4th – THE BIG ZIG

Near the 400 metres BELL PARTNERS (G. Cullen) laid out and had to be eased to avoid the heels of THE BIG ZIG (F. Edwards).

Jockey F. Edwards, the rider of THE BIG ZIG, was reminded of his obligation under A.R. 137(b) to ride his mounts out, at least hands and heels, right to the finish.

Race 3: Trailer Sales NQ Class 1 Handicap – 1400 metres
1st - JULYENCLAIRI 2nd – SHELF SPACE 3rd – NOIAMIRISH 4th – BLACK WATTLE

LAMBOURN JEWEL injured itself whilst being loaded into the float and was a late withdrawal, by order of the stewards, at 2.51 p.m. Trainer Mr W. Massingham furnished a veterinary certificate confirming that the mare was unfit to start. He was advised that a veterinary certificate of fitness must be provided before LAMBOURN JEWEL will be permitted to race again.

COSTA ROMOLO (F. Edwards) began awkwardly and lost ground, raced wide in the early stages and travelled ungenerously until the 700 metres.

SHELF SPACE (I. Fry) over-raced in the middle stags.

At about the 350 metres BLACK WATTLE (G. Cullen) was accidentally struck near the head by the whip of Jockey I. Toward, the rider of JULYENCLAIRI.

When asked about the run of COSTA ROMOLO, Jockey F. Edwards explained that after beginning awkwardly the gelding travelled wide until the 700 metres, then failed to finish off the race and in his opinion was disappointing.

Race 4: Lamont Constructions Class 3 Handicap - 1300 metres
1st - UP TO MISCHIEF 2nd – CLEARLOVE 3rd – SUPERSUB 4th – FOLLOW THE RULES

TOCSIN was withdrawn by order of the stewards when no rider was available.

On jumping DIAMOND CROSSING (G. Cullen) and MR PICKWICK came together.

At about the 900 metres CLEARLOVE (F. Edwards) shifted in slightly and tightened SUPERSUB (I. Fry). Jockey F. Edwards was admonished.

ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED
