1st – EZI GIRL 2nd – LEGAL POSITION 3rd – JESTER’S FLUTE 4th – PRIVATE JAMES

When the start was effected PRIVATE JAMES (S. Kaya) stood flat-footed and lost considerable ground and then rounding the home turn was inclined to hang out.

JESTER’S FLUTE (G. Kliese) and REMEMBER MONICA (F. Edwards) were slow to begin.

Shortly after the start CHICKA SIERRA (C. Eaton) shifted out and hampered LEGAL POSITION (T. Bannon).

In the middle stages GREEN MONT (W. Kenning) was inclined to hang out.

In the early part of the straight LEGAL POSITION (T. Bannon) was held up and unable to obtain clear running and near the 200 metres was hampered when attempting to take a run between NANNYGAI (D. Missen) and LORZY (A. Cox), which shifted in slightly.

At the entrance to the home straight JESTER’S FLUTE (G. Kliese) was badly held up and shifted out across the heels of LORZY (A. Cox) to obtain clear running.

MOCHA TART (J. Felix) and LORZY (A. Cox) raced wide throughout.

When asked about the apparent poor performance of QUICKDRAWMCGRAW Jockey A.
