Race 1: Parry Nissan Family Race Day Mon 14 June Maiden Handicap - 1200 metres
1st – LATARGIRL 2nd – YOYO 3rd – BALAROOK 4th – TRENCH DIGGER

Due to a misunderstanding, D. Missen instead of J. Stanley was shown in the Race Book as the rider of TRAWLER and J. Stanley instead of L. Dillon was shown as the rider of LATARGIRL. Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by trainer Mr D. Hansen.

When Jockey P. Cullen was unable to fulfil his engagements due to injury and substitutions were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary. Jockey Cullen was informed that he must furnish a medical clearance before being permitted to ride again.

The declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey I.. Toward, the rider of YOYO which finished second, to view the official video film with a view to lodging an objection against LATARGIRL (L. Dillon) being declared the winner. After viewing the film, Jockey Toward elected not to lodge a protest and stewards declared correct weight.

RISING OVATION (F. Edwards) began awkwardly.

At the start PINHEIROS (App. A. Butler) stood flat-footed and then was non competitive throughout the event. Trainer Ms C. Williams was advised that the colt must perform to the satisfaction of the stewards in a trial before being permitted to race again.

In the early stages LATARGIRL (L. Dillon) over-raced.

Near the 900 metres SUPER ZERO (J. Babarovich) shifted in and made heavy contact with TRENCH DIGGER (G. Cullen). Jockey Babarovich was advised that in similar circumstances he must stop and straighten his mount sooner than he had on this occasion.

Rounding the home turn SUPER ZERO (J. Babarovich) hung out.

Near the 300 metres LATARGIRL (L. Dillon) shifted out around the heels of the weakening SUPER ZERO (J. Babarovich) and in doing so bumped YOYO (I. Toward).

Following the race Jockey J. Babarovich reported that SUPER ZERO hung out throughout the event, placing him at a disadvantage.


Race 2: Go Racing @ Cluden Park Class 5 Handicap – 1200 metres
1st - PONBAR AVENUE 2nd - MR PUNKROCKER 3rd – IZACAT 4th – JOVELON

IZACAT (G. Kliese) began awkwardly.

Approaching the 200 metres PONBAR AVENUE (App. A. Butler) was momentarily held up, and when shifted out to improve bumped GENERAL MACARTHUR (G. Cullen).

GENERAL MACARTHUR (G. Cullen) and KLOSTERS (T. Bannon) raced wide throughout.

MR PUNKROCKER (C. Whiteley) hung out throughout the event.

Race 3: Hook Up with Scotty Hillier Charters Class 3 Handicap – 1960 metres
1st - PROM KNIGHT 2nd - GETHSEMANE 3rd - VOODOO RED MAGIC 4th – DREAM WARRIOR

At the start DREAM WARRIOR (C. Whiteley) and GIANT’S GATE (J. Felix) bumped.

DEENLESTER (I. Toward) was slow to begin.

In the early and middle stages MON CHOIX (J. Stopps), GIANT’S GATE (J. Felix) and DREAM WARRIOR (C. Whiteley) over-raced.

Near the 1500 metres VOODOO RED MAGIC (F. Edwards) improved up onto the heels of GOGO DELAGO (J. Stanley), became unbalanced, shifted in and brushed the running rail.

Following the race App. A. Butler reported that the saddle on KEEN ON YOU shifted forward at the 1500 metres, placing him at a disadvantage.

A post-race veterinary examination of GOGO DELAGO (J. Stanley), which performed below expectations, did not reveal any significant abnormalities.

Race 4: MAK Advertising Class 1 Handicap – 1400 metres
1st – VOODOO BAY MAGIC 2nd - LAWCOURT 3rd - BOOBYELLA 4th – POR FAVOR

Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by trainer Mr T. Rowe for the late declaration of M. Elliott as the rider of LAWCOURT.

On jumping MY RED HATZ (J. Stanley) and BOOBYELLA (D. Missen) bumped.

In the early stages VOODOO BAY MAGIC (App. A. Butler) raced wide.

LAWCOURT (M. Elliott) and POR FAVOR (J. Felix) raced wide throughout.

Race 5: Parry Nissan Prelude QTIS 600 2-Years-Old Handicap – 1000 metres
1st - FANCIFUL 2nd - HAM HOT DOG 3rd - BENGUELA 4th – SHE’S FIRED UP

The start was delayed when UNIQUE BABY (F. Edwards) was reluctant to proceed to the barriers. Connections were advised that an official warning has been placed on the horse’s pre-race manners.

FANCIFUL (R. McMahon) began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped WILD POWER (T. Bannon).

BENGUELA (L. Dillon) began awkwardly.

In the early stages UNIQUE BABY (F. Edwards) raced ungenerously.

Joining the course proper near the 700 metres DESERTSUNPRINCESS (J. Babarovich) laid out and bumped BUDDYBONEY (C. Whiteley). BUDDYBONEY then had a tendency to hang out and raced wide for the remainder of the event.

Near the 450 metres VICTORY KNOCKS (M. Elliott), which was racing tight to the inside of BEEN BROKE BEFORE (J. Stopps), shifted in, bumped the running rail and became unbalanced.

Approaching and rounding the home turn SHE’S FIRED UP (App. A. Butler) hung out.

For a short distance in the early part of the straight BENGUELA (L. Dillon) was held up and unable to obtain clear running.

Jockey J. Stanley was reprimanded under A.R. 144 for failing to weigh in on TAIMEX, which finished fifth.

On pulling up Apprentice A. Butler was dislodged from SHE’S FIRED UP and suffered a harmless fall.

Race 6: Ramlock Properties Open Handicap – 1000 metres
1st - TRUSTED PARTNER 2nd - BRER FOX 3rd - CRYSTAL MOSS 4th – ON BAIL/LESNER (DH)

Jockey F. Edwards was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under A.R. 137(a) in that at approximately the 800 metres he permitted BRER FOX to shift in when insufficiently clear of LESNER (T. Bannon), which was forced in onto PATRIC (C. Eaton), which was tightened for room and taken in onto ON BAIL (I. Toward). As a result PATRIC was checked and lost its rightful running. Following this incident LESNER (T. Bannon) shifted out and inconvenienced SEA ZULU (G. Kliese). Jockey Edwards was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence at midnight on Saturday, 12th June 2010, up to and including midnight on Friday, 25th June 2010 (4 NQ meetings).

Near the winning post PEOPLE’S CHOICE (App. A. Butler) had to be steadied when disappointed for a narrow run between SEA ZULU (G. Kliese) and FIVE WAYS (C. Whiteley).

ARGUED (D. Simmons) and PEOPLE’S CHOICE (App. A. Butler) raced wide throughout.

On pulling up after the winning post Jockey D. Simmons, the rider of ARGUED, was dislodged and suffered a harmless fall.

Race 7: Mitchell Partners Consulting Class 2 Handicap – 1200 metres
1st - ELSHAMAH 2nd - POLROSSA 3rd - GLENGYLE 4th – PETRENKO

CINQUE TERRE (J. Stanley) was slow to begin.

MOUNT MAGIC (I. Toward) began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped PETRENKO (J. Babarovich), which was taken out onto STARTUS (C. Eaton).

Near the 900 metres CONFIDENT WOMAN (App. A. Butler) hung out across the heels of CINQUE TERRE (J. Stanley), was steadied and lost ground.

PETRENKO (J. Babarovich) raced wide throughout.

Stewards questioned Apprentice A. Butler regarding the vigour he used on CONFIDENT WOMAN in the home straight. Apprentice Butler stated that due to the horse’s racing manners he was unable to test it fully, as it had a tendency to hang out. The explanation was noted, nevertheless Apprentice Butler was advised that he must ride his mounts in a manner that does not leave room for question.

Race 8: Lightstar & Zabrasive Open Handicap – 1400 metres
1st - REFUHRENCE 2nd - KHATAAF 3rd - MATIYA’S PRIDE 4th – MIGHTY MITE

TEDDY BARE (C. Whiteley) began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped KHATAAF (App. A. Butler).

OUR PRIVATE JET (G. Kliese) and ELEGANT ROI (J. Stanley) bumped on jumping.

Near the 800 metres BLAZING ARROW (C. Eaton) commenced to over-race and was steadied.

TEDDY BARE (C. Whiteley), KHATAAF (App. A. Butler) and MIGHTY MITE (J. Felix) raced wide throughout.

Jockey D. Simmons, the rider of FRISCO BOPPER, was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out at least hands and heels right to the finish.

A post-race veterinary examination of ELEGANT ROI (J. Stanley) revealed that the gelding was mildly distressed.
