R Barone was indisposed for today’s meeting and was replaced by M Lister R3, S Killen R5.
RACE 1: FOREST SPRITE (R Goltz) jumped in the air and was slow into stride. GENEROUSLY (S Shield) was slow into stride. BOLD MUSIC (App.R Kerwin) had to be eased when SCHOOL TALK (D Green) rolled inward at the same time OUR PROUD TIGER (P Gesler) rolled outward at approx the 800m. BOLD MUSIC was held up behind CRITIZE (A Gillett) rounding the home turn. Routine swab of the winner FOREST SPRITE. Time off 4.17pm.
RACE 2: K Banks replaced J Baker (MAKE A MARK) as he failed to arrive on course after riding at another venue, warning. LUKE’S LOOT (G Lynch) and DOUBLE MISTAKE (S Shield) were both reluctant to load, warning. LUKE’S LOOT and SLINGO PRINCESS (M Aspinall) were both slow into stride. Jockey D Green (THE APACHE KID) was reprimanded when he permitted his mount to shift inward when insufficiently clear and cause BINALONG LASS (S Killen) to ease, at approx. the 800m. BINALONG LASS then raced ungenerously shifting outward at the 750m hampering PLAY STATION (J Haitana) which in turn hampered ELFIN BELLE (P Gesler), attention trainer. Jockey A Gillett (WHISPERING LADY) was cautioned when his mount rolled inward and hampered LUKE’S LOOT at approx the 350m. Jockey J Haitana (PLAY SATAION) was given the benefit of the doubt and was reprimanded when he angled for a run to the inside of the heels of MAKE A MARK, he then eased his mount which shifted inward and inconveniencing WHISPERING LADY at approx the 300m. THE APPACHE KID shifted outward under pressure over the concluding stages, attention trainer. Routine swab of the winner THE APACHE KID. Time off 4.58pm.
RACE 3: KELKAISER (App.J Baker) jumped awkwardly. NOBLE JEWELS (S Shield) jumped outward inconveniencing HERE’S YOUR HAT (M Aspinall). SUPER SIR ECHO (A Gillett) was slow into stride. TURBO BILL (K Mahoney) raced greenly throughout giving the rider a difficult ride, attention trainer, warning. CARBON SHADOW (S Killen) had to be steadied when crowded for room by LUCKEY LOVE (A Gillett) at approx the 750m. When returning to scale SIR PAK (P Gesler) threw its head up striking the rider in the face. Routine swab of the winner NOBLE JEWELS. Time off 5.37pm.
RACE 4: K Mahoney replaced J Felix (ACE COOL) as failed to arrive on course after riding at another venue, warning. G Lynch replaced C Symons (HAND GRENADE) as stewards held him up, after riding at another venue. PAPER RUN (M Lister) stood when the gates opened and lost considerable ground, connection were advised the gelding must pass an official jumpout prior to its next start. HAND GRENADE and ACE COOL made contact when the latter went in and attempted a run to the inside of the heels of DANCER’S RHYTHM (S Shield) which a had rolled inward slightly. Routine swab of the winner HOT CHANCE. Time off 6.15pm.
RACE 5: CERTAIN TO REIGN (S Killen) and ALL OUR GOLD (G Lynch) were both slow into stride. RAISE A RAPPER (S Shield) raced fiercely during the early stages of the race. At approx the 850m PAPANICK (J Felix) rolled inward hampering BONNIE SAL (R Goltz). PAPER LACE (K Waller) shifted inward under pressure in the straight crowding GERRY’S GOLD (D Green). ALL OUR GOLD returned to scale bleeding from both nostrils, connections were advised of the life ban, as it was its second bleed. Routine swab of the winner HOT CHANCE. Time off 6.55pm.
RACE 6: M Aspinall replaced P Gesler (PERCY) as she was stood down by the Doctor due to being struck in the face during Race 3. ROCKET CHARGE (App.K Banks) was reluctant to load. HURLEY GIRL (S Katsidis) and STYLE QUEEN (J Haitana) were slow into stride. DOWNS FLYER (J Felix) jumped outward coming in contact with TOSTADO (D Green) which dipped and lost ground. SEA OPAL (M Aspinall) raced ungenerously crossing the 1500m crossing. At approx the 800m HURLEY GIRL rolled outward coming in contact with STYLE QUEEN on at least two occasions. Routine swab of the winner ROCKET CHARGE. Time off 7.35pm.
RACE 7: BAGOT’S MILL (S Katsidis) was reluctant to leave the enclosure, then was unruly at the start, connections were advised the filly must pass an official barrier trial prior to its next start. MISS UNITED (App.J Baker) jumped outward hampering KIRKDALE ROAD (G Whybrow). HALF SMART (App.K Banks) jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride. KIRKDALE ROAD threw its head in the air when eased at approx the 800m. Jockey M Dorrington (DAYBREAK EDITION) was cautioned when his mount shifted inward over the concluding stages of the race crowding MISS UNITED. Routine swab of the winner LOOKS A LOVER. Time off 8.18pm.
