RACE 1: BILLY BUNTER’S AUTO CITY MAIDEN H'CAP – 900M.

TOUCH PRINCE was declared a late scratching at 3:45pm when the horse would not go onto the track and deductions of 47c a win and 25c a place were ordered.

ALL HALO slipped on jumping losing ground.

FLYYING INTENTION was slowly away.

MR. DOOLEY jumped out making contact with SEATELL at the start.

Apprentice C Eaton rider of KRUGER’S GIFT was reprimanded when she allowed her mount to shift in hampering MRS. MORTY when making the home turn.

MR. DOOLEY was held up making home turn.

Leaving the 200m MRS. MORTY shifted in, slightly hampering the tiring KRUGER’S GIFT.

Devonport shifted in over the concluding stages hampering ELDWICK, which was forced to shift in hampering SEEK THE BEST.
Time off 3.48 pm.

RACE 2: BILLY BUNTER’S AUTO CITY MAIDEN H'CAP – 900M.

MINSKY dislodged L Roberts going onto the track, after galloping for a distance was inspected by the clubs veterinary surgeon and was past fit to start.

FAIR RALEIGH jumped out at the start, hampering DASHER’S GIRL, XENA ALICIA and BOLD ANTICIPATION.

ROYAL CELESTE dipped at the 500m, BOLD ANTICIPATION and DASHER’S GIRL, which were following, were both held up.

XENA ALICIA when leaving the 50m shifted in making contact with the running rail.
On pulling up Jockey J Bryant was dislodged from her mount LOUD BLUE injuring her left knee.
Time off 4.28 pm.

RACE 3: SEA WORLD NARA RESORT MAIDEN H'CAP - 1600M.

MISTER BRAIN was slow to begin.

ORBITING STAR raced fiercely in the early stages.

MISTER BRAIN was forced to race wide throughout.

Time off 5.15 pm.

RACE 4: TERRY WHITE CHEMIST CLIFFORD GARDENS CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1300M.

AMBER TRAIL jumped out at the start making contact with AVIANCE, which in turn was forced out onto SADDLE BOY.

Near 900m AMBER TRAIL shifted in making contact with GUILTY JOKER.

Approaching the 700m SADDLE BOY was steadied when it improved to the inside of GUILTY JOKER were there was doubtful room.

Leaving the 400m ONCE MORE was cramped for room to the inside of MR DICKENS

Leaving the 400m Hot Tycoon was held up for clear running for some distance.

Time off 5.50 pm.

RACE 5: BORAL RESOURCES (QLD) PTY LTD CLASS 4 H'CAP – 1600M.

TRIP TO THE MOON (NZ) jumped out at the start hampering MILLIE’S BID out onto PRAYDO.

STRANGE CONFLICT and ROCKLEA ROCKET were both slow to begin.

Approaching the 500m TELCAPRI shifted in hampering BRIDLE WARRIOR, R Goltz was reprimanded in this incident.

Approaching the 100m OUTBREAK shifted in under pressure making contact with PRAYDO.

ROCKLEA ROCKET was held up for clear running over the last 300m.

Time off 6.31 pm.



RACE 6: ROCKS RESORT CLASS 6 H'CAP – 1100M.

CORRIDOR WHISPERS jumped away awkwardly.

KEEP THE ACE was inclined to hang out in the early and middle stages until entering the straight. When questioned jockey M Dorrington stated that KEEP THE ACE was reluctant to race inside horses and agreed that the horse had been inclined to hang out. A veterinary examination found no abnormalities. Stewards noted all explanations.

Time off 7.05 pm.

RACE 7: SUPER QRIS ADDED STAKES 2-Y-O MAIDEN H'CAP – 1200M.

Trainer P Moody was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for AIRGUN by the required time.

Trainer S Smith was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for NEED T’SEE by the required time.

ERIN’S DELIGHT was slow to begin.

FEARLESS RACER and ROMAN EXPLORER were hampered between UKKACHENA and GENERAL MINOLTA, which jumped out.

Leaving the 900m, BANKA BUCK shifted out forcing AIRGUN out onto SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE.

FEARLESS RACER was inclined to over race in the early and middle stages.

W J Cook was reprimanded for allowing his mount FEARLESS RACER to shift out when leaving the 200m forcing AIRGUN out across the heels of CANMINE.

Time off 7.37 pm.

RACE 8: TOOWOOMBA’S KARINGAL CAFÉ CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1000M.

JUST SCRUMPTIOUS was slow to begin.

ARBEE jumped in the air at the start.

KING OF CLUBS jumped out at the start taking RUN FOR YOUR MONEY out onto SUCH A NIGHT.

PENNY ROAD and CATALINA made contact on jumping.

Approximately the 700m RAW DIAMOND shifted in tightening the running of RUN FOR YOUR MONEY and SWERVIN’ MERVIN, which was inclined to hang out. S Katsidas, rider of RAW DIAMOND was reprimanded in this incident.

ZALZALLA raced wide throughout.

KING OF CLUBS was held up for the entire straight.

Time off 8.20 pm.

ALL WINNERS WERE SWABBED.

24/05/02: Stewards today concluded an inquiry into the lack of vigour over the concluding stages by the rider of DONNABELLE at the Chinchilla meeting on 18/05/02. After hearing further evidence from rider Z Landry and evidence from the master of the apprentice D Gollan. Stewards subsequently reprimanded Z Landry and advised her of her obligations to fully test her mount when it is still in contention.
