RACE 1: BILLY DANN MEMORIAL E&G MAIDEN HCP 1200M.
The start was delayed, as RIDE THE SEAS needed a replacement tongue-tie prior to race. RIDE THE SEAS was also vetted and past fit to run after making contact with the enclosure fence.
Both MAGIC HAT and NAZGUUL were slow to begin.
RIDE THE SEAS jumped out at the start hampering MAGIC HAT and making heavy contact with RECORD BREAKER.
NAZGUUL, which was racing greenly, hung out making the first turn hampering NOBLE DISTINCTION.
Approaching the 650m, P Moodie allowed his mount DAY PASS, to shift in causing NAZGUUL to ease and make contact with MAGIC HAT. RECORD BREAKER, which was following was also forced to ease in this incident. Taking into account the greenness of the horses involved a reprimand was issued to P Moodie.
Jockey D Green (SEGURA) was reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift in over the concluding stages hampering both TOXOPHILITE and STAR HEART.

RACE 2: BOB GREAVES MEMORIAL 3YO MAIDEN HANDICAP
FRENCH CHARIOT dislodged the rider in the enclosure and at the start prior to being loaded, pulled away and completed half a circuit of the track. Stewards declared the filly a late scratching at 4:34pm. (25/1)
CLEAR THE AIR, which was fractious in the barriers reared and got casted in the barrier and was declared a late scratching by order of the stewards acting on veterinary advise at 4:38pm (25/1) deductions were ordered for both scratchings of 6c win and 8c place.
Both FRENCH CHARIOT and CLEAR THE AIR were ordered to officially barrier trial prior to next start.
BELLE AMAZON and OUR KAWLIJA were both slow to begin.
BELLE AMAZON shifted in shortly after the start hampering MANZALA
BELLE AMAZON was held up for clear running from 600m until entering the straight.
OUR KAWLIJA, which raced greenly throughout shifted in over the concluding stages hampering CLEVERNESS.

RACE 3: O’NEILL SCOTT & ASSOCIATES CLASS 2 HANDICAP
PINK PONTIAC was slow to begin.
PARALO jumped in at the start making contact with PINK PONTIAC.
PARALO rolled in making the home turn hampering ROWDY BOY.

RACE 4: LJ HOOKER TOOWOOMBA CLASS 5 HANDICAP
LEICA NARROW reared as the gates opened loosing ground.
BANYULA BRAVE and DIGRESS made contact on a number of occasions rounding the home turn as DIGRESS was attempting to get off the fence which hampered DIGRESS.

RACE 5: THE CHRONICLE CLASS 3 HANDICAP
BACHELOR GIRL was declared a late scratching 6:20pm by the order of the stewards acting on veterinary advice after the horse became unbalanced in the parade ring. Connections were advised a veterinary certificate is required prior to next start. Deductions of 7c win 9c place were ordered. (12/1). Stewards also ordered a swab sample be taken from the mare.
SAGIT HERO shifted out at the start and was slowly into stride.
In attempting to change hands with the whip, G Lynch the rider of SAGIT HERO (NZ) accidentally dropped the reign leaving the 1100m however was able to regather them at the 1000m.

RACE 6: SOUTHERN CROSS FORD CLASS 1 HANDICAP
Both ALTAREG and JUDICIAL REPORT were slow to begin.
TIMEO shifted out at the start and in doing so forced out GOLD AMBER, which made heavy contact with DO AS I SAY. The rider of GOLD AMBER (N Evans) was almost dislodged in this incident.
Approaching the 1200m, JUDICIAL REPORT began racing ungenerously and lost considerable ground when placed in restricted room to the inside of MY CHALLENGE.

RACE 7: MURDOCH LAWYERS F&M MAIDEN HANDICAP
PRINCESS IN PERSON was declared a late scratching by order of the stewards acting on veterinary advice after the mare reared and flipped over twice on the way to the barrier. Deductions were ordered of 4c a win and 5c a place (20/1). The connections were advised the mare must pass an official barrier trial prior to its next start.
BRONZE HULA refused to leave the barrier at the jump, after taking evidence and on viewing the film the Stewards declared the mare a starter. The connections were advised the mare must pass an official jumpout prior to its next start.
RUNS LIKE BUCK eased at the 800m when racing in restricted room to the inside of GO KATE and BLUE CHERUB.
