RACE 1: BILLY BUNTER AUTO CITY MAIDEN H'CAP - 1620M.
Trainer D Powell was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for GAELIC PRINCE by the required time.
A Parramore (PHAROS DANCER) replaced G Lynch who failed to arrive on course by the required time due to transport problems.
FLYING FORTUNE jumped awkwardly.
KILT BISCAY was slowly away.
At the start SEA OF CHEERS and AXIAL were crowded for room by HERB'S CHARIOT, which jumped out.
Approaching the crossing PHAROS DANCER and FLYING FORTUNE were steadied when crowded for room by HERB'S DANCER, which shifted out.
Leaving the 1300m for some distance MRS FAIRWEATHER raced ungenerously whilst over - racing.
A veterinary examination of AXIAL, which finished a distance last failed to reveal any abnormality.

RACE 2: THE CHURCH FAMILY MAIDEN H'CAP - 1213M.
Trainer R Maund was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for ROYAL DREAMER by the required time.
CLANGABLE and YELVERTON made contact on jumping.
At the start ROYAL DREAMER was taken onto CELESTABELLE by BASKET, which jumped out.
NEVER DUSTY jumped awkwardly.
ELDWICK and SERA MODE made contact on jumping.
Approaching the 900m YELVERTON was reluctant to hold its position when racing between horses.
Near the 550m ELDWICK was eased when crowded for room by NEVER DUSTY, which shifted in.
ON BLU BAYOU shifted in over the concluding stages.

RACE 3: COOLOOLA FOODS FILLIES & MARES CLASS 3 H'CAP - 1113M.
Trainer T Miller was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for SAUVETERRE by the required time.
SAUVETERRE jumped awkwardly and out, making contact with the hindquarters of OUR BELLAVITA.
BREAKFAST AT SEA and ZEDALITY made contact on jumping.

Leaving the 250m LILY'S BABY was taken in by SELF TITLED, which was lying in. SELF TITLED continued to lie in for the remainder of the race.
Jockey R Goltz who sustained bruising to the foot when his mount stood on it, when he dismounted in the parade yard, was subsequently cleared to fulfil his remaining engagements.

RACE 5: TOWNSVILLE RITZ TEAM CLASS 4 H’CAP - 1213M.
PEDRO THE SWIFT, which broke through the front of the barriers, was restrained after going a short distance. PEDRO THE SWIFT was subsequently cleared by the vet to take its place in the field.
BORDEAUX HOPPER and NICTOM made contact on jumping.

RACE 6: JETHRO’S DOWNFALL CLASS 1H'CAP - 1313M.
Trainer G Hatch was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for BROPHY by the required time.
J Sharp (GILGURRY) accidentally dropped his whip on the point of the home turn..
RUE THE SAINT laid in over the concluding stages.

J Sharp (PRINCE RATAVA) replaced L Roberts who was injured at the Chinchilla meeting.
At the start SPEED TIME was hampered between SANDALS, which jumped out and ON THE WEEKEND.
ENYIA CARRATE jumped with its head in the air.
At the start RUBIES AND PEARLS was hampered between PRINCE RATAVA and RAVENOUS MAKTIG, which jumped out.
MAGIC OF ROSIE shifted in over the concluding stages coming into contact with CARISSIMA approaching the finish.

1/04/03: Trainer J Dann reported that SWEET LILY was lame in the off fore and the near - side eye was closed next morning, after competing at the Toowoomba meeting on the 29/03/03.
