RACE 1: ALQUIP MAIDEN H'CAP - 1122M.
PARAMO and TEARFUL VIXEN made contact on jumping.
Near the 850m PEARL OF PICCOLO shifted out and away from PARAMO, which shifted out.
Approaching the 750m TEARFUL VIXEN was steadied when cramped for room to the inside of JEWEL OF NEDIYM.
Near the 550m JEWEL OF NEDIYM was steadied from the heels of TEACHER'S PET.
TISKET LAD, which hung out from the 750m, made the home turn wide. Trainer C Castles was advised that TISKET LAD is required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to its next start.
Leaving the 400m FLOOR BOARDS was taken wider on the track by TEACHER'S PET, which shifted out whilst hanging out. TEACHER'S PET continued to hang out for the remainder of the race.
Time off: 3.50 PM.
RACE 2:LEN PATTI MOTORS 3-Y-O MAIDEN H'CAP - 1021M.
MISS GOODY GOODY, which hit the parade yard fence whilst being paraded, was subsequently cleared by the veterinary surgeon to take its place in the field
DOUBLE DECKER, which broke through the front of the barriers, was restrained after going a short distance. DOUBLE DECKER was subsequently cleared by the veterinary surgeon to take its place in the field
At the start SIERRA SAL was crowded for room between ALWAYS DIGGER and MERLE'S BOY, which jumped in.
MISS GOODY GOODY and DOUBLE DECKER made contact on jumping.
Approaching the 800m SIERRA SAL got its head up whilst hanging out.
Leaving the 800m OVERTOTHREE was steadied when crowded for room by DR CONGO.
Approaching the 750m ALWAYS DIGGER shifted out making contact with DOUBLE DECKER.
MISS GOODY GOODY hung out throughout.
ALWAYS DIGGER raced greenly throughout.
E Simmons (DOUBLE DECKER) dropped her whip near the 250m.
OVERTOTHREE returned to scale with minor lacerations to both hind legs from being galloped on.
Stewards placed a warning on DANZIG WAY for its pre - race behaviour.
Time off: 4.36 PM.
RACE 3:ALQUIP CLASS 2 H'CAP - 1021M.
DARK FROST and LAURISTON ROSE both lost ground when jumping awkwardly.
At the start LET'S RECONSIDER was hampered by QUIET SMYTZER, which jumped out.
JUMATTY, which jumped awkwardly hung out in the middle stages.
Approaching the 750m SEATELL was eased from the heels of JUMATTY.
Leaving the 400m LAURISTON ROSE was steadied from the heels of QUIET SMYTZER.
Leaving the 100m JUMATTY was hampered by LET'S RECONSIDER, which shifted out.
PARALO returned to scale lame in the off - fore. Trainer D Gollan was advised that a veterinary clearance is required for PARALO prior to its next start.
Time off: 5.11 PM.
RACE 4:NATIONAL SERVICEMAN’S ASSOCIATION CLASS 5 H'CAP - 1222M.
SIR WINTERWOOD, which was injured whilst being loaded onto the float was withdrawn on veterinary advice at 4.50 pm.
A false start was declared when the starting gates opened due to a malfunction of the barriers whilst heavy rain was falling.
All horses were vetted and subsequently declared fit to take place their place in the field.
Subsequently Trainer R Lipp (TIME'S PRECIOUS) and A Cowell (MUKANIC) made a request to stewards to withdraw their starters due to the track being downgraded to slow.
Stewards granted their request and TIME PRECIOUS and MUKANIC were both withdrawn at 6.15 pm. Stewards advised both trainers that due to the circumstances they would not imposed a wet track ban on either horse.
At 6.13 pm stewards ordered that all bets be declared null and all monies to be refunded due to the withdrawal of the two favourites and bookmakers were advised to frame a new market.
Race times were amended to Race 4, 6.30 pm, Race 5, 7.05 pm, Race 6, 7.42 pm, Race 7, 8.20 pm.
RIO PELLINGRINO lost ground when it reared as the gates opened.
BAY DUKE and ROYAL CONSPIRACY were slowly away.

RACE 5:TOOWOOMBA CUP FRIDAY OCTOBER 31ST CLASS 3 H'CAP - 1323M.
Trainer B Costello was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for DANCING SOCKS by the required time.
Trainer B Fitzgerald (MISTRESS DANE) made a request to stewards that he wished to withdraw MISTRESS DANE due to the track being downgraded. Stewards granted the request and withdrew MISTRESS DANE at 6.35 pm. Stewards advised Mr Fitzgerald that a slow to heavy track ban is imposed on the mare.
KENMONT, APPEALING LADY and CROWN SILVER were slowly away.
Time off: 7.42 PM.
RACE 6:LEN PATTI MOTORS MAIDEN H'CAP - 1323M.
GIRL CHEVAL and TOO RIGHT were slowly away.
TURF RAIDER shifted out over the concluding stages.
Time off: 7.05 PM.
RACE 7:CLIFFORD PARK CATERING CLASS 1 H'CAP - 1222M.
Trainer D Strong was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for ATHOL by the required time.
On returning to scale Jockey G Lynch (CAWDOR CROW) rider of the 3rd placegetter lodged an objection against GIFTED ACE (J Warrington) being declared 2nd for alleged interference in the home straight. After taking evidence from riders, connections and viewing of the patrol film, stewards upheld the objection as they were of the belief that the interference caused by GIFTED ACE when it shifted ground, had cost CAWDOR CROW more than the margin that was between both at the finish. The placings were amended to ICENI 1st, CAWDOR CROW 2nd, GIFTED ACE 3rd and HOT FOOTING 4th.
ATHOL, which became very fractious once placed in the barriers, was subsequently cleared by the veterinary surgeon to take its place in the field.
CARCORY was slowly away.
PEDRO'S BELLE jumped awkwardly.
Approaching the 800m MY SON GUS was steadied when it shifted in and away from HOT FOOTING.
Near the 800m HOT FOOTING was steadied when cramped for room to the inside of CAWDOR CROW.
A veterinary examination of ORBITING STAR, which weakened quickly, failed to reveal any abnormality.
When questioned about the disappointing performance of PEDRO'S BELLE, apprentice T Ono stated that his mount did not travel well at any stage and he is of the opinion that the filly did not handle the wet conditions, explanation noted.
Time off: 8.20 PM.
