Race 1: TTC Proudly Supporting Movember Class 1 H'cap – 1300m
1st –Tough Taimz 2nd – Bellespy 3rd – Winning Dreams 4th –Love Changes

Track temperature: 38 degrees Celsius

CLASSIC DREAMS was withdrawn by stewards at 4.46 pm after the horse refused to proceed to the barriers. Subsequent to the event, all monies invested on CLASSIC DREAMS were ordered to be refunded, with the following deductions to apply:

1 cents in the dollar for the place of the winner No.2
3 cents in the dollar for 2nd place No.6

Stewards advised trainer W. Baker not to start CLASSIC DREAMS at Toowoomba until the gelding performs to the desired manner in country meetings.

BEMUSE (J. Letherby) and NOSHOWS (J. Warrington) began awkwardly.

BELLESPY (L. Cumberland) and EQUAL ARCH (S. Bogenhuber) made contact shortly after the start.

TOUGH TAIMZ (K. Banks) had a tendency to lay out for the majority of the event and the horse shifted out under pressure over the final 200m.

When questioned regarding the disapointing performance of EQUAL ARCH, jockey S. Bogenhuber stated that the horse raced greenly and shifted ground in running, and when placed under pressure from the 400m, failed to respond to her riding. She added that the removal of blinkers for tonight's event may have been a contributing factor in the performance of EQUAL ARCH. Trainer T. Gollan was at a loss to explain the poor performance of EQUAL ARCH, but did advise that consideration would be given to possible gear changes and the future racing program of the gelding.


Race 2: K & R. Plumbing Supplies Benchmark 75 H'cap – 1300m
1st – Alinga Star 2nd – Kneel And Raise 3rd – Mirabeau 4th – Tisani Boy

Track temperature: 35 degrees Celsius

KNEEL AND RAISE (G. Goold) and CRAIGLEA TINA (C. Pye) made contact on jumping away.

MALLORY PARK (J. Warrington) was crowded for room at the start between COOLSHOW (B. Richardson) and TISANI BOY (L. Cumberland), which shifted out.

Near the 1200m, CRAIGLEA TINA (C. Pye) shifted out and brushed DUKE WILLIAM (K. Banks).

ALINGA STAR (N. Yamada) had a tendency to lay in in the early stages and again when placed under pressure in the straight.

KNEEL AND RAISE (G. Goold) raced wide for the majority of the race.


Race 3: Kerry Hobbs Birthday Girl C G&E Maiden H'cap – 1200m
1st – Agente 2nd – Show Us Gold 3rd – Commander Boltz 4th – Uncanny Kid

Track temperature: 28 degrees Celsius.

SPECIAL FOR SURE (K. Yoshida) was slow to begin.

SMASHING BOTTLES (N. Ogura) was crowded for room on jumping away between LET ME ROCK (J. Warrington) and RELLE'S TAG (S. Bogenhuber), both of which shifted ground.

Leaving the 900m, LET ME ROCK had to be steadied off the heels of AGENTE (B. Richardson), which shifted in.

Passing the 750m, LET ME ROCK shifted out abruptly after improving up on to the heels of AGENTE and shifted out, forcing RELLE'S TAG (S. Bogenhuber) wider on the track. Stewards, whilst noting the circumstances of the incident tonight, nevertheless advised J. Warrington, rider of LET ME ROCK, to exercise appropriate care at all times regardless of the circumstances he finds himself in during the race.

Near the 100m, LET ME ROCK, which had a tendency to lay in, then shifted out and away from the heels of LOXLEY (C. Pye). RENNAM (J. Kehoe), which was trailing and also laying in when under pressure, clipped the heels of LET ME ROCK and blundered.

J. Kehoe, rider of RENNAM, was fined $200 for using his whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.


Race 4: Highgrove Stud Class 2 H'cap – 850m
1st – Charming Bay 2nd – Latin American 3rd – Icy Breeze 4th – Huff And Puff

Track temperature: 22 degrees Celsius.

STRICTLY FLAMENCO (B. Richardson) was tightened for room on jumping away between

ICY BREEZE (N. Yamada) and LITTLE ZACHARY (N. Ogura) made contact on jumping away.

DECLARE (A. Best) was slow to begin.

The saddle on ROCK IT NOW shifted at the 500m, placing its rider, L. Cumberland, at a disadvantage for the remainder of the event. It was noted that the horse raced extremely wide from that point onwards. Jockey Cumberland was advised of his obligations to advise stewards immediately following the race of any matter that was a contributing facor in the performance of the horse.

When questioned regarding the performance of DECLARE, jockey A. Best stated that the horse began poorly, resulting in his mount losing valuable ground. He added that in an endeavour to make up this ground, he elected to improve from the rear of the field, however was unable to make any significant progress as a result of LITTLE ZACHARY racing ahead of DECLARE and in a wider position on the track. A. Best further stated that approaching the home turn, he elected to move the horse to the inside of LITTLE ZACHARY and DECLARE ran on well. He added that he was further of the view that the gelding was looking for distances longer than the 850 metres of tonight's race.


Race 5: TTC Entertainment Auditorium Opening Nov 26 Class 2 H'cap - 1500m
1st – Cooinda 2nd – Tiz Corey 3rd – Rem'e'can 4th – Merchant Girl

Track temperature: 22 degrees Celsius.

RUN AWAY RUBY (B. Richardson) was tightened for room on jumping away between SPHENE (N. Yamada) and TIZ COREY (L. Cumberland), which shifted in after making contact with COOINDA (J. Letherby).

TIZ COREY (L. Cumberland) was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight

SPHENE raced wide for the majority of the race.

L. Cumberland, rider of TIZ COREY, was reprimanded for using his whip 6 times prior to the 100m.


Race 6: Mick Sutton Concreting QTIS 2yo H’cap – 1050m
1st – Bullet One 2nd – Casual Connections 3rd – Craiglea Carina 4th – Craiglea Stellar

Track temperature: 22 degrees Celsius.

CRAIGLEA CARINA (N. Yamada) and BULLET ONE (B. Richardson) made contact on jumping away.

CRAIGLEA KEY (C. Pye) raced ungenerously in the early stages.

CRAIGLEA STELLAR (A. Best) raced wide for the majority of the event, and raced greenly when placed under pressure in the straight.



Race 7: Clifford Park Trots November 27 F&M H'cap – 1200m
1st – Monde Bijou 2nd – Miss Turlington 3rd – Cards 'n' Owls 4th – Star Bounty

WHAT THE HELL was examined by the veterinary surgeon and declared a late scratching on veterinary advice at 4.14 pm after the mare was found to have lacerations on its near hind leg after arriving at the track. Trainer C. Hayes was advised he would be required to provide a veterinary clearance for WHAT THE HELL prior to its next race start.

Track temperature: 22 degrees Celsius.

STAR BOUNTY (J. Letherby) was tightened for room shortly after the start between CARDS 'N' OWLS (S. Bogenhuber) and SAINT FAUSTINA (G. Goold), both of which shifted ground.

ANNEKE (L. Cumberland) and MONDE BIJOU (J. Warrington) made contact on jumping away.

Near the 900m, CARDS 'N' OWLS improved up on to the heels of SAINT FASUTINA and had to be steadied.

MONDE BIJOU had a tendency to shift out under pressure in the straight.

MISS TURLINGTON (B. Richardson) and ANNEKE raced wide throughout.

Stewards questioned J. Warrington and trainer Mr G. Blades regarding the tactics adopted on MONDE BIJOU where the horse led compared to the positioning of the horse at its most recent start, in particular on 12 November. J. Warrington explained that the horse was extremely fractious in the barriers on 12 November and as a result missed the start and began awkwardly. Trainer G. Blades advised that the instructions given to his riders for MONDE BIJOU were to lead if possible. He further added that the step up in distance to 1200m may have assisted in the horse being able to lead in tonight's event. Stewards noted the explanation.
